Just spent a week skiing in Arinsal, staying in the hotel Arinsal, had a fabulous week skiing, and the hotel was, although rated only 2 star, very pleasant, evening meal was a choice of 3 dishes, so something different every night and enough to satisfy the heartiest of appetites, breakfast had the European compulsory ham and cheese, cereal meats etc, always enough to keep you energised on the slopes. Bar prices were very generous, and the barman Fran, was always on hand to help with any problems, a friendly face after a hard day on the slopes, and always ready to pour you that most important beer!!!. good hotel, lived up to it's reputation. A lot of skiers i spoke to in resort, wanted to stay there, so it's doing something right!!!!

Room Tip: Rooms on one side have main road traffic, and pedestrians On the other side you have the river rush...

This VERY basic hotel should be avoided. The food!!!!! is well , !!!!!!. Twin room was tiny and no storage to speak of , not even a coat hook to hang your jacket on.
But worst of all is the overwhelming stench of smoke throughout the hotel. Thankfully we were 2 adults , had we had children with us we would have moved out.

Stayed here for a skiing holiday. Single room - a little small and old-fashioned but warm, clean and comfortable enough. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the dinners, varied menu, with fish, meat dishes, pasta and good choice of veg. Continental breakfast with good choice of cheeses, cold meats, cereals, etc. Close to gondola and bars in small village. Inexpensive holiday and very good value for money.

This was our second year skiing in Arsinal, Andorra. The first year we went we stayed in the Gothard Hotel this was a 20 minute walk to the Gondola. This year we stayed at the Arsinal Hotel which was a two minute walk from the gondola and 5 minute walk to all the local pubs. The hotel had a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The food was very good with a different selection every night. Only poor thing i could say about this hotel was the rooms were a bit small but if you are like myself we only slept in the room most of our time was spent on the slopes and the bars. we will be heading back to Arsinal next year and will deffently book this hotel again.

Weve just returned from a week at this hotel and dont really have many complaints.
The rooms are compact, but cleaned daily with fresh towels. Food was basic, but for the price we paid, we couldnt really complain. The only bug bear is that there never really seemed to be anyone around when you wanted something. And when this was the case, i think the management activated a sensor on the door which rang a bell as anyone passed it. This got a little annoying if you were attempting to have a lie in!!

My main moan is that smoking was allowed in the communal area downstairs, and as a non smoker i wasnt too impressed. Nevertheless, the hotel bar prices were really cheap and you dont tend to spend too much time there anyway.

The rooms overlooking the street were a little noisy, so if you can, id request a room overlooking the mountain stream at the back.

The main gondola was only 30 seconds walk away and Neilson have a ski cage at the top that you can store your ski's and stuff in to save you brining them up and down. Be warned - the gondola is high and slightly scary, but once youve braved it the once, its not too bad.

Make sure you claim your free toastie from El Cau when you get off the Gondola, theres normally a rep around to give you a flyer.

The apres ski was the best part of this holiday and id highly recommend the Neilson bar crawl (free shots in each bar), quiz night, mid week mayhem (food and an hours free bar) and Decades party night (watch the reps make idiots of themselves).

Also, id recommend the Compedrosa bar, Quo Vardis, The Derby, Cisco's and finally El Cau (the secene of many a crime!!).

Ive already booked to go back to Arinsal for the New Year, but with my husband this time. Weve chosen the Hotel Montane as our rep told us it was much nicer for couples.

I wouldnt hesitate recommending this resort to anyone, but if you have a young family, then id urge you to stay in somewhere like the Princessa Park at the top of the hill.

Effectively, this resort reminded me of Ibiza, but with snow and with me being 33, i was possibly one of the oldest there, but still managed to keep up!!

Thanks again to the Neilson reps for making sure we never stayed sober for 6 nights xx

Stayed here last week. The hotel is in a great location just around the corner from the main gondola. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The room was compact but fine for all we wanted it for. It is clean which is the most important thing and beds were made each day.

The breakfast and dinner are all buffet style. Breakfast is usual bread, crossants, cereal, cheese, ham yogurts, fruit, juices and tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Machine in corner to make your own which is handy and toaster and microwave there too. Dinner is varity of salad, different meats each night and desserts. Six nights out of seven they served chips though.

Hotel room was awful hot, ended up sleeping with windows all open, until I realised how to turn off radiatiors. Bit noisy out on the street at night but not too bad.

Other INFO:

Cisscos is the cheapest bar to drink in, two pints are €3. Glass of wine €1.50. Pizzas in Quo are fabulous!

Had great time in all, would go back.

The best skiiing is to be found in Arcalis. Blue bus leaves from gondola at 8.30 and 10.30 each morning. It is free, but does get crowded. It leaves Arcalis at 3.30 and 5.30 in evening. Be there half an hour be leaving time because bus leaves early usually, crowds always waiting on it and I nearly got beat up trying to get on!!!!!

Hope this is useful.
