“Don't expect fine dining in this 24-hour place”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

Monte Carlo Bar is the kind of place you go to for a quick fix of various kinds of food. My lasagne with egg was good but not great. I did not have high hopes for an all-nighter place like this where lots of burly guys seem to come for a beer rather than good food.

The tables were positioned too close to each other. The service was inconsistent and hurried. The food was adequately prepared, but that's all.

I would not really recommend this place unless you want something filling and quick. And cheap, which Monaco is definitely not. Oh, and avoid the wine here. It was not good.

“Disgusting FOOD Disgusting Service!!!”
Reviewed 30 April 2013

Rude awful arrogant people how do they work in Monte Carlo - had the fully loaded Pizza worst in my life and my friend roasted chicken absolutely disgusting and the most rudest and unfriendly place I have ever been in - they survive merely as they are on the main tourist drag and the Bus stop to the airport is outside them ... do not eat here a coffee maybe but enjoy the dead atmosphere and horrid workers !!!

“A great pit stop bar to get beer, snacks and late night food”
Reviewed 10 February 2013

6 lads - just done the Course Du Soleil half marathon looking for a BIG BEER. This bar topped the bill serving Becks in 1 lt glasses! Now those hit the spot I can tell you. The staff were happy to help, full of character and jokes. The food was OKAY, and to be fair we weren't looking for the best of quality just lots of high carb intake with flavor. The chicken came out in different size portions, and the pizza was perhaps a bit heavy on the cheese - but what the hay?
We sat outside and watched the traffic go by, the cop guarding the entrance to The Principality and the super cars rev past.

We re-visited this venue at 2am for a late night beer and pizza (God we needed the carbs, and believe it or not, we were STILL thirsty!!!) The staff were more than happy to have us in a gain.

BIG UP for this little shop. Low end but ticked all the boxes for value, quantity and location.

“Appalling food, worst service ever!”
Reviewed 24 January 2013

My partner and I decided to visit Monaco on New Year's Day and after taking in the Old Town and the famous "rock" we were hungry. Naturally, we drifted to the nearest eatery and arrived in a noisy, dingy place, quite out of place in the Principality. Once we chose our overpriced mains and cokes, we waited a good half-hour for bread, had to ask several times for a pot of tap water and missing napkins... FINALLY we were served... The coke was flat and came out of a tap - something we complained about and were REGALLY exchanged for the tin thing (which the waiter later most rudely pointed out as a HUGE FAVOUR). The dishes were... INEDIBLE. My lasagna was obviously de-frozen and so sour I couldn't eat it, even with lashings of Parmeggiano. My husband's spaghetti bolognaise was something we wouldn't even have fed the dog! FOURTY EUROS FOR THAT CRAP, I'm still reeling! On top of this, the service was awful, slow and the waiters extremely impolite - needless to say we made an uncharacteristically rapid escape (leaving 75% of the food) there was NO TIP, NO GOOD-BYE AND CERTAINLY NO THANK-YOU!!!! WISH THERE WAS A ZERO RATING HERE - IT DIDN'T DESERVE MORE!!

“Good bistro food right in the heart of Monaco”
Reviewed 19 December 2012

You might be tempted to pass this place by because it seems too touristy, but don't make that mistake. We visited for lunch and found it crowded with locals, especially older single ladies enjoying the menu du jour....very reasonably priced and in no way was anyone rushed out.
It's situated right on the main roundabout on the Place d'Armes across from the Condamine market and just down the steps to le Rocher. Lots of outdoor seating means you should always be able to get a seat.
We had a pizza (the best we've had yet in Cote d'Azur) and the plat du jour, carafe of wine and bottle of fizzy water for less than we've paid in many other places along the Cote. It's fast, bistro and patronized by the locals...what more do you need? Visit this place for a good taste of bistro food at reasonable prices.
