We had a really nice stay though, as with most hotels, the grandeur of the foyer etc is not reflected in the rooms. While the rooms are very comfortable, they’re not particularly high spec or large – the bathrooms are lovely though. One of the key things I’m looking for in a room is quiet, and this ticked that particular box!
We were lucky enough to get to use the spa, which has an absolutely stunning sun-deck and a beautiful view of the harbour. Location is great – very central, near the Cafe de Paris, and a short walk down the hill to the water front. Nothing to complain about at all – though it didn’t blow us away, it was a very charming hotel; pretty much what you would expect from a 4-star luxury hotel, but lacking the extra edge to make it truly one of the best.
