What an absolutely fabulous hotel, there is not one thing I can fault about this hotel. The room was huge with fabric wallcovering the walls, room was spotless, bed was A1, the bathroom was stunning.
Could I give the manager any recommendations in how to improve the hotel........NO!!!!
If you can afford to stay at this hotel then please do you wont be disappointed.

This is one of the leading top hotels if have seen. Great room service, very nice historic building with great charme. The sea view room had a perfect harbor view. The room was large and had a lot of psace to store the luggage. You just walk across the street and be in the casino. The ony downside is the restaurant the grill which was awfully expensive for litte value, the restaurant at the hermitage next block is much better at a reasonable price / value ratio. The american bar is nice but the service is poor. If you fly in to Nice, try the helicopter shuttle to Monaco which gives you a great experience.

The Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo is a dream hotel located in one of the most glorious venues in the world. We stayed in a suite in the Rotonde wing which overlooked the ocean - an extremely panoramic view. The rooms are gorgeous and rich in detail. If you don't want the ocean view you can choose the Casino view. The staff was very amenable and courteous. You truly feel as if you are having a five star experience. There is a lovely garden on the grounds (Place du Casino) that you can stroll through at your leisure. The food in the hotel is very good with such dishes as Normandy scallops and blue Lobster. Tiramisu is amazing. It's a bit pricey, but in keeping with Monte Carlo/Monaco which is expensive. Delicious! If you like gambling there is a casino mere steps away from the hotel. This is a honeymooner's dream, filled with romance, luxury, entertainment and sumptuous food choices. There are no problems for those who don't speak French. The hotel is completely bilingual and the staff speak English wonderfully. Although I didn't visit the on-site spa, it is famous all over the world and is excellent. Overall, this was a dream vacation. Once of a lifetime. Expensive, but first class all the way.

Room Tip: Specify if you want a room facing casino or ocean.

The grandeur of the facade and location of the Hotel de Paris, directly opposite the Casino is surpassed by the extravagance of the Hotel lobby. Service professional and check in was extremely efficient. After being escorted to our Sea View Room, we immediately wished we had planned for more than one night in Monte Carlo (this was only a short stopover between France and Italy). The room was expansive and luxurious, the bathroom was amazing and La Prairie toiletries were exceptional. Room service was prompt and of a good standard. After dining at Louis XV, we returned to the lobby to find it had been transformed into a surreal ballroom like experience with cirque de soleil-like stilt walkers delighting guests. Casino entrance is included with the room reservation and even if gambling is not your intention, the building is definitely worth a visit. Would not hesitate to stay here again, the only change would be to stay for more than one night!

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are incredible

On approaching the Principality the skyscrapers of Monaco will rise to greet you. Drop down to the magnificent, landscaped gardens of the Place du Casino and - as lunch features so prominently on the French menu - make a first stop at the opulent, art nouveaux Hotel de Paris. Here the buffet lunch in the Coté Jardin Restaurant is one of Europe’s best-kept secrets. Do not be put off by the rows of gleaming Rolls Royces and Lamborghini’s at the front entrance – the concierge is all amiability and the delicious experience, although expensive, will not break the bank.

Once through the portals one is immersed in the grandeur of yesteryear: there are marble pillars; bronze statues; rich carpets; sparkling chandeliers; and, above the luxurious lounge, there is even a dome with a remarkable rose window. It is no wonder that the pleasure-loving King Edward VII was a frequent guest and that Winston Churchill valued it almost as a second home. (Today the newly refurbished Churchill Suite on the top floor still attracts a long list of the rich and famous.) Entrance is free and so, even if you do not choose to lunch - walk into the huge foyer that is a wonderful museum in its own right; take tea on the terrace; or sip an Orangina at the Café de Paris across the square and simply gaze at the beautiful 19th-century façade of the most prestigious hotel in the world!

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic.

The Hotel De Paris is the place to stay in Monte Carlo. The location is perfect. The view from our room overlooked the casino and the marina. The service was great. There were no crowds as some reviews suggest. There are many fancy cars parked in front of the hotel and casino, Masseratis, Ferraris, Bentleys, etc that adds to the fun. You get free entrance into the casino as a hotel guest, and even access to the private rooms in the casino. The beds are quite comfortable, definitely the right choice.

Room Tip: ask for room with balcony with view of the casino

A special occasion stay in an iconic hotel was marred by very unhelpful and unfriendly customer service. First of all, on check-in we were informed that a UK driving licence is not accepted as a valid form of ID and so we were refused entry to the casino, then on check-out we were double-charged for breakfast when it should have been included in the room tariff. In both cases, these were minor misunderstandings that in any other hotel would have been handled in a friendly and helpful manner and resolved in the customer's favour, but the staff here were downright rude and obstructive. As it was the same person at check-in and check-out it may be an isolated problem but the experience let down what should have been a fantastic stay. Between check-in and check-out the hotel was lovely!
