One of the best hotels in the world, for luxury, service, and location. It has comfort, history, architecture, and food to match any hotel anywhere. Even their SECOND restaurant is Michelin-starred (deservedly so) and Louis XV has few rivals anywhere for excellence in service, decor and cuisine. Late September was a perfect time to visit, too, not too hot but still very comfortable. The spa is excellent, and the concierge is everything one would want. Last visit we stayed in a larger suite, very modern, which was lovely; but this visit, the more traditional decor and the view made it an even better experience.

Room Tip: It is worth getting a suite with a sea view. I could live on one of those balconies, watching the c...

This hotel treats you with utmost respect the Diamond Suite even has a private entrance with your own personal lift. Loved the 3 Michelin star Louis XV-Alain Ducasse restaurant, try the special LOUIS XV 25 YEARS menu they have a fantastic selection of wines from Lafite, Rothschild, Petrus, Cheval Blanc, Yquem, Romanée-Conti, Dom Pérignon and don't forget to enjoy the Champagne and dish of strawberries that you get on arrival. Great views from the room.

Room Tip: Stay in the Winston Churchill Diamond Suite

We love this hotel, very good atmosphere, nice rooms and perfect service! but the most stunning is the view from our room (the Hermitage hotel and harbour). Location is also very good, famous Cafe de Paris and Monte Carlo casino is just across the street! We really enjoy our staying here!

The hotel was elegant and the Casino was really beyond anything I could imagine .
The ambiance was from a movie and the gambling big.

I write this from my room in this hotel tonight at the risk of being booted out in the morning.
This evening we were walking past the delivery entrance when a delivery of what appeared to be thickly-cut chips was being delivered. Several fell out of the uncovered crates onto the road only to be picked up and thrown back into the crates by the delivery man. More fell out when the crates were deposited on the floor inside the hotel. This time the hotel's security guard helped pick them up and put them back inside the crates. It happened a third time as more crates were brought in. So my warning is: Don't eat the chips here tomorrow. Other than that, the hotel is not half bad and I would happily recommend it. But do you know how many dogs do their business in the street here.... Disgusting. Will be very interested to see management's response to what we saw. I suppose I should have told them what I saw.

Room Tip: Don't eat the hotel food

My husband and I stayed at the hotel de paris for 2 nights in September. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The service was great. Our suite was beautiful with the most comfortable bed and we had a great sea view from our balcony. Breakfasts in Cote Jardin were delicious. Your stay here grants you free access to the Monte-Carlo beach club where you get access to the beach and pool for free. We enjoyed the afternoon at there, but were frustrated with the bus shuttle we waited an hour on. There was a marathon going on and the bus was picking up in a different location than usual and no one seemed to know exactly where.

Be prepared that the prices for the bar are sky high (22 euro for a glass of champagne!), but look where you are. They do give you delicious snacks with your drink order as well.

Overall was a great stay and I would definitely stay there again!

Room Tip: Book during the off days of the week and the price per night is much less! 800 euro on a weekend com...

Me and my husband spent 3 nights in hotel de Paris from 5 to 8 of August. That was our second stay and we were looking forward spending our summer little break there.
We used to come to Monaco every year since 2006 and our last preferrence is hotel de Paris.
The location is simply the best to fully enjoy the short stay. Just next door to Famous Casino the hotel offers great possibility to watch and be part of eternal spectacle - luxury cars and showing off richness from one side and thousands-thousands of curious watchers from other side.
The hotel entrance hall and public areas are luxurious - to be the part of it as client makes you feel special.
We arrived early at around 08:30 to the hotel - check-in procees was taken very efficient and fast. Room was ready by 11:00 - that is nice gesture during highest season. We booked Exclusiv Sea View and were upgraded to Superior Exclusive Sea-view room that is slightly bigger and with 2 sinks in bathroom (instead of 1). We asked sea and Casino view room (as we had last stay), but due to high season we got Full Sea-Harbour View -room N 508 (the opposit side from casino). But no regrets - at the end I enjoyed the view even more.
The room is pretty spacy and comfortable - with a/c and n--i-i-ce balcony with table and chairs (we spent much time there!!). Room service seemed ok (our room was cleaned and prepared each time we were off - nobody came to disturb while we were inside). Food was delivered to the room on time and well served.
Great point of the hotel is that the clients have many advantages with hotel special card:
- free access to Thermes Marines in the hotel - big swimming pool with salty water + sauna and steam room + sun terrace with view to Harbor
- free shullt and free access to the hotel Monte Carlo Beach - great spot with huge Olympic size swimming pool + beach with sea access (for example the average price for 1 to access the area is from EUR 130)
- free access to Casino Monte Carlo
- multiple reductions to Spa procedures and Golf club access
We pay a lot for the room night (average rate for Sea View room is around EUR 800 per night) but at the end we spend less for all extras.
Breakfast in hotel de Paris is served in Cote Jardin Terrace - super beginning of the day - to sit and eat in open air!! Waiters serving us were really cute, smily and friendly:)
The hotel is great location, prominent image and just the place to be!

However there were some points that were a bit surprising to face in SUCH HOTEL:
- no drinking water at all in the room - NOTHING to drink (only mini-bar of course - but I think for the room price the hotel can not ask extra charge for drinking water...)
- food (we asked for sandwich) on sun terrace of Thermes Marines can be ordered from 14:15 only (strange, but if we are hungry earlier?)

- some staff is so dissapointing and not really realizing their mission in the hotel business:
/// for example - the woman in dark costume at Cote Jardin entrance (the one meeting the clients and accompaying them to the tables) - working in the mornings on 6 - 7 - 8 of August 2012 - why such arrogant attitude? No smile, so cold!! ... The second or third day we came to eat - no "hello" - moreover when we met with eyes she turned the head away... I personally had the feeling she does not like me...
But - when I saw her speaking with one of the waiters - she looked so open and happy and speaking so loud and with such excitement!! Strange, really strange...
////or - we asked CD player to the room - after 1 hour we called again and were told all CD players are taken. why not to call us back earlier - rather than make clients waiting for nothing...

.. of course, personal factor matters everywhere, but we should say service is not always the strongest point in hotel de Paris.

However we found our pleasure in many many other factors and can say we will be coming back to this wonderful place. And also thanks to great, high professional and sunny people working there: Guest Relation manager - MIss Floreana Rubega (thank you a lot!!!!), Miss Marina at hotel check-in, the cutest and nicest waitress in Cote Jardin (I did not ask her name... the one new girl - trainee with black hair, nice oriental face - working 6 -7- 8 August for breakfasts) - those people are our nice souvenirs.
Because not only place and walls make our stay special.

Room Tip: - Recommended rooms with Sea view - Casino view rooms are more spasious on lower floors
