If you like to explore Monaco by walking around, this is a perfect place to start from. Choose a room where you have a view to the sea port of Monaco - it's worth the upcharge. The breakfast is ok - pretty expensive for the choice you get, but convenient. Parking is close by, just below the hotel, access from the street. If you are getting in and out with a car, it's less expensive to pay at the ticket vendor than get a day pass from the hotel. The hotel staff, at the lobby is not very attentive and sometimes pretty rude. The check in and out will stress your patience a lot. I have been several times at this hotel and it seems not to improve. Enough guests that can get around with this behavior and enjoy the location. Not all rooms have a closed wardrobe - it's like it is.

Room Tip: Choose a room where you have a view to the sea port of Monaco - it's worth the upcharge.

I would like to thank you for taking time to share your last experience at the Novotel Monte-Carlo with the other travellers. I am sorry you found the breakfast buffet expensive. I would like to inform you that several breakfast options are available such as the “City breakfast” option at the bar with hot drinks, croissant, yogurt and juice or the “Coffee, croissant” option at the bar too. I also apologize for our staff’s attitude! We are working on that in order to satisfy our client’s expectations. I hope to have the pleasure to welcome you again to Monaco.

In a town where Oligarchs are the norm, Novotel is seriously good value. The rooms, albeit on the small side, have everything you want, plus it's just a 3-minute(very steep - watch the heels, girls) trot down the road to the giddier heights of the Casino, the Hermitage etc.

The buffet breakfast is pretty good, albeit one small gripe that there is one toaster for the entire restaurant. This, in a hotel popular with Brits, is a serious oversight and makes for some amusing 'bread brinksmanship' each morning, as several people hover around the toaster at once. The outdoor pool area is lovely, with plenty of loungers, but you'd better be body confident, as it overlooks the al fresco restaurant seating area.

As with many hotels, the 'gym' is a bit of a disappointment - just a dodgy treadmill and a few forlorn looking weights - they could seriously do with revamping this. Other than that, this is a great hotel in a very expensive town. We'll definitely be back.

This is our second time at the Novotel Monaco and it never fails to impress for value and class. The rooms are spacious and the service excellent. Just round the corner from the casinos but no where near the prices of the other hotels around. Stunning views if you get a room facing the port. No language problems as the staff speak more than four languages. My go to hotel in Monaco.

Lovely hotel - spacious, bright and well situated. The staff were helpful, the breakfast was tasty (eggs could have been warmer but it's tricky keeping buffet food warm!) and we enjoyed lovely meals in the restaurant at very competitive prices. The hotel is round the corner from the casino square (five minute walk) and the train station is next door.

The rooms were well-appointed, with a lovely powerful hot shower, comfortable beds and pillows, with tea/coffee making facilities. Ideal for a short break, but may be difficult for those with a lot of luggage as there wasn't a lot of space to unpack. Complimentary bottles of water were a nice touch.

We took advantage of the Heliair helicopter transfers - very efficient, saves a lot of hassle getting to and from Monte Carlo and a lovely experience. I would definitely stay at this hotel again, and I would request a room with a balcony.

Monte Carlo is full of lovely things to see and do - highlights included lunch at the Cote Jardin at the Hotel de Paris, a visit to the Oceanographic Museum, watching the changing of the guard at the palace (11.55am every day), cocktails at the Café de Paris, gambling on a Saturday night at the casino (formal dress) and sitting in the harbour in the sun. The Japanese garden is a lovely place to relax and the Metropole shopping centre is a nice place to spend, spend, spend!

We'll be back!

A very pleasant relaxing stay for 4 nights at the Novotel Monte Carlo. Hotel is well situated close to the train station and also the Casino Square/ bus stops. Handy lifts, escalators and walkways make accessing the rest of Monaco on foot a simple exercise.
Hotel is bright, modern and spacious and a reasonably priced base to explore the coast. Room was garden facing on level 5 with a view across the harbour to the Rock and the sea beyond.
Friendly helpful service throughout.
