“Very modern, but awful beds”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 November 2010

The hotel was very chic and modern, but the beds were so bad. They had free wireless only in the common areas like lobby and bar. The breakfast was great. On a business trip or any trip for that matter you want a good nights sleep and I did not get this here. The beds were just very poor quality for how much you pay to stay there.

I stayed two nights at Novotel MC and had a good experience. The hotel is located on a busy street but the room was quiet, clean and comfy. The decoration is modern and attractive. Breakfast was not included in the rate (euros 145/night), which I appreciated because I enjoy having breakfast at a French boulangerie. Parking was euros 20 per day. My conferences were at the Grimaldi place, an easy (downhill) 15mn walk. In this pricey town, the Novotel is a good deal although there is also the cheaper option of staying in Beausoleil.

I'll keep it short and sweet - this hotel is a great little gem right in heart of Monte-Carlo. Everything you'd expect from a hotel was either "good" or "very good". The only thing I'd say the hotel is lacking is a little bit of "homely" character... it is very much geared towards the business clientele, and although the finishings / decor was very modern and fresh, it does feel very much like a ultra-modern conference centre with a hotel attached.

Spent one night there. Very luxurious (when compared to other Novotel hotels). Very pricy (but ok for Monte-Carlo).
The rooms are spacious with some extras, like balconies, Nespresso coffee-machine etc.
Excellent breakfast, nice swimming pool and great view on Monaco (if you have the right room).
Although it looks like it is located far from the centre, you can use the elevators at the main train station (200 metres from the hotel, turn left when leaving the hotel), which will get you directly to the sea bank.

The welcome to the hotel was good with friendly efficient service and valet parking (albeit at a €20 premium). The bar stocked a wide range of drinks and its conveniently located a short walk from Cafe de Paris and the Palace. We arrived shortly before breakfast was due to finish and items had already begun to be packed away and people were turned away who were a couple of minutes late.
