The hotel is not located in the middle of town. Provides little service and no bar or restaurant (except breakfast). I had difficulty in recognising the pictures in the publicity. For what it was, the hotel is expensive.

Well situated on the edge of the old town, easily walkable from the railway station and at a pinch, the Danube boat terminal. We were impressed to be given the choice of 3 different rooms on arrival, and took a family room with views across the Danube to the hilltop abbey, which was quiet, well-appointed (but no A/C) and comfortable. Not much english is spoken, but everyone was very keen to help, and the garden/pool at the back of the hotel was a very nice discovery (it isn't really advertised on the hotel flyer you get on arrival). The breakfast was good too, although the room can get a little crowded with cyclists doing the Danube cycleway.

Room Tip: Go for the rooms facing the front as they seem to have more daylight, but be aware it can get a bit...

Pretty close to the center of Krems. Nothing special about the rooms, but clean.
Breakfast is very good. People are friendly (but not so good with English).

Krems is nice little town and very quiet (it's better not to look for people in the evening - streets will probably be almost empty, even in the center). Not many restaurants, but the food is good (if a little on the heavy side). The area around the city is more than wonderful, so explore the Wachau valley and marvel at the views.

Great people and very clean, well appointed rooms. Very interesting backyard with wonderful views. Authentic, family-owned, hosptiable and central location. Stayed 6 nights and felt right at home.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of Gottweig Monastery

We only stayed here for one night but were amazed at the quality. The host was very kind and welcoming, the rooms were fresh and clean and the location is perfect for the town centre - quiet but a very short walk away. But there were two things that really made it for us. Firstly the breakfast was incredible; cake, fruit, vegetable, bread, cheese, meats and the list goes on. And secondly they have a swimming pool where you can go for a night time dip with incredible views across the Danube valley to a beautiful lit up monastery on the other side. If you are ever in Graz, stay here!

What a great Value! My comments will not come close to describing this wonderful establishment. Very old, but very up to date, very clean and spacious, and located a short walk from the old city on Landstrasse (Ober and Unter). The staff is friendly and helpful too, and very professional. Breakfast was typical and tasty, with eggs over easy, cold cuts and cheeses, breads, fruit, grains and so on.. The Coffee is the bomb, served with freshly steamed milk and foam... The only thing that presented a problem to us was that the internet service is somewhat slow - hard to connect, and difficult to email... but this only occurred in the evening - just after dinner...

Finally, the rates are extremely reasonable..

You cannot miss with this hotel!

Room Tip: The rooms on the second floor have wonderful dormers that open wide....

We booked a double room with additional bed. At the arrival we recived the key to the suite on the top floor. Beautiful, big, clean.. (we even haven't been charged for the extra bed not to mention the suite).
Nice breakfast and very nice landlady.
The swimmingpool was nice too :-D
