Beautifull little Hotel just in front of the Basilic/church _ beautifull view! Very nice and pitoresque environment with lovely terraces and great restaurants. Hotel team are supurb: very friendly and extremely helpfull. Room are waaaaauw, very modern, clean and high tech.

Room Tip: Chose a room with a view on the Basilic/Church - really nice and relaxing view

The location is outstanding. Staff is excellent and helpful. Despite being in the city, the night time is extremely quiet and dark. The hotel sells itself on being a design hotel but I found so many features counter intuitive to good design. No bother. The room was very bright, clean and comfortable. Blond woods were contemporary and luxurious. There is one big mesh window shade the rises and lowers at the touch of a button, but mine would inexplicably misfire at random times while i was sleeping or in the morning. It was creepy! The location, in the gorgeous church courtyard, can't be beat. Linz is a gorgeous city full of great bakeries, shops and cafes that is away from all the tourism headaches of the other Austrian cities. Breakfast was delicious and well appointed. People are friendly and the town is safe. There's also a brand new opera house that I will visit the next time I go back, which will hopefully be soon!

centrally located, easily walking distance from interesting sights in Linz, light airy rooms with Swedish inspired white clean interiors, this hotel is a modern oasis in the heart of this historic city. Breakfast spread is worth coming for even if you are not a guest.

This is a tricky hotel. They don't have air conditioning in rooms. I spent one night mid June and weather was warm in Linz. I couldn't sleep all night because room was very warm. They trick guest by saying they have a special cooling system for rooms but in fact it is useless. They sent fans to guest rooms, but it was useless too. I would never go back again. Room was clean and breakfast was acceptable.

Stayed for business, for 2 nights. Interesting room design, with bathroom walls in glass, mind you, can pull a mirror out to block some of the glass. Comfortable bed, clean, quiet, parking below in the public underground garage with direct access to the hotel. Can highly recommend, would definitively stay there again.

First, let me tell all the women who stay here what I didn' t realize until day 2, when someone else told me. The mirror at the left of the sink (ceiling to counter) you are able to pull all the way across the glass so that you have full privacy between you and the bedroom area. Secondly, the staff are very, very nice at the reception area and at the bar, ask for Martin. He was a terrific bartender, always smiling and helpful in selecting the perfect wine. I agree with other reviewers that it seems like you are in an Ikea furnished hotel. Couch in room just so so but comfortable chair at the desk. Know that you can open the window for fresh air and it is a quiet area of the city so there isn't traffic all night. You can easily walk to the town square which is right by the Danube where you can often see the river boats (cruises) tied up. Take the tram ride up the mountain for a beautiful view of Linz. Get off at the top and walk to the cafe for a drink and view, spectacular. Good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel so we were pleased at that. We were in Linz for a wedding and the bride and groom recommended this hotel for their guests and we were not disappointed.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with just a shower if you don't want to climb into one of those high sided tubs...

Location excellent, Neue Dom views great (only some rooms), well equipped and quiet rooms. Reasonably priced parking under the hotel.

Staff are efficient, friendly and helpful, especially in the bar. Everything works as it should, huge shower (although you need to be good friends with anyone else in your room as the bathroom walls are clear glass).

Decent breakfast choice, lots of space between tables and fast service.

Downsides? Just a bit 'cold' in character and for a three-day stay, they don't change the bed-linen. It took us some while to work out the electronics, how to open the door, turn on and off the lights, close the electronic window blinds; fine once we'd got it.

A notice in the reception area explains that there are nine deliberate design mistakes in the hotel.

Stay again? Yes.

Room Tip: If you're going to stay here for the location, be sure to get a 'Dom view' room but be a...
