We had one of the two story suites with the roof top deck. The room was modern, the art quirky and the English speaking staff friendly The location is within walking distance of just about everything in the old city center. The tram takes you any where else in the city.

We spent two nights in this delightful, slightly quirky hotel, situated right in the heart of the old town of Graz. The hotel has bags of character, and each room is different. We had one on the top floor which was brilliant and really quite romantic with the sloping roof and rafters. The room was more like an apartment with a large living area, small kitchenette, separate bedroom and separate bathroom. The staff were really helpful and welcoming; when one morning we had no hot water, they immediatley gave us access to another room to shower and this too, though totally different from ours, was delightful - on two floors with a spiral staircase. The hotel has a lift and a fabulous steak restaurant in a covered courtyard; definitely worth booking a table there.

In the centre of the old district of Graz so easy to reach everywhere on foot. Lovely and quiet. Very comfortable single room. Very friendly and helpful staff. My window overlooked the courtyard. It was easy to get in late at night. The breakfast was reasonably good, but not exceptional, but again the service was friendly and helpful.

We were delighted tofind we had been upgraded on arrival. Our room was spacious, comfortable and warm. Lovely big modern shower room and we evan had a little kitchenette which fitted snugly in the corner of the lounge with a nice sized fridge and 4 cupbords and 2 electric cooker rings. We were able to walk very easily to all the sights, shops, museums, trams and there was somewhere to eat every few yards. the breakfasts and staff were lovely. We decided to have a meal braught to our room on the day of our arrival. The meal came from the Steak Boutque which is the 'in house' restaurant. We were not disappointed. The fillet steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. We tendedto go outafter breakfast and get to know the city on foot, had lunch out and then get supplies from the wonderful Spar shop just round the corner which haslovely fresh produce as well as wine etc. I would certainly go back to the Zum Dom andrecommend it to any visitors to Graz

Room Tip: Choose room 26 if you would like the kitchenette

What a beautiful hotel, with such friendly staff that gave us tips on where to go for a walk and soak in the atmosphere of such an old university town. The room was clean spacious for Europe and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was just what you need with a long ride on the bike ahead, plenty of choice. The restaurants nearby offered great food for diner and lunch. Absolutely recommend this hotel.

Located in the very heart of Graz basically everything is walking distance. We stayed for one night and used this opportunity to explore the X-mas markets around, did some sightseeing and dined lovely in the restaurants nearby.
Not much to complain about the hotel - our twin room was big, furbished antique style and the huge bathroom had a triangular tub. The bed was comfy and although we had a street-view room, there was very little noise, so the sleep quality was very good. Wi-Fi worked flawlessly as well.
Hotel staff is friendly and helpful and breakfast was opulent with a variety of choices.

The only minor downsides are the absent parking (public garage is located about 400m from hotel) and the slightly outdated bathroom equipment (has nothing to do with the antique image of the room - some tiles and the marble on the floor were broken and the jets in the tub didn´t work as well)

Long story short - the hotel offers great value for money spent. I would absolutely come back again

Dear Guest! Thank you very much for your kind review - we are very glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Hotel zum Dom before Christmas! Do you know that Graz is great place to visit in summer too? We are looking forward to welcoming you again! And yes, we do not have a privat parking - but on the other hand, once you've parked you car, you can reach more or less everything by foot!
Best wishes,

I was here for a conference at the medical school in July and really enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and it was just a short walk to the tram station. I never had the breakfast although I heard it was delicious from a colleague who was also staying there. The hotel is close to many good restaurants and shops and bars. If I return to Graz I will definitely stay here again. Very happy!
