Unless one visits this place, one cant fathom the charisma of Mozart! A legend who last days werent as bright as his career, its a must visit for all music lovers. No wonder they dont print any brochure since they want you to have a first hand experience of the life of Mozart.

Brand Mozart is in your face all over the place here. On chocolates and household articles ...everywhere... and if you're not a classical music fan you may want to ignore the powder-wigged head and do something else in Salzburg - go ahead with that but save some time on your agenda to visit his birthplace at least, learn a bit about what made the man the big name he turned out to be.
Mozart's birthplace is a well-arranged museum with artifacts you can skim over or read through. It gives a good insight into his family and the kind of life they led - with music being up there in their life. Mozart himself was blessed with a singular talent and combined with early exposure and amazing energy contributed in a big way to the music world over a rather short time span - he died young leaving behind a rich legacy and this can be seen and appreciated at Mozart Gerburtshaus.
Children and adults alike we enjoyed the visit.
Photos not allowed but it's there in our memories
And no - we did not purchase a Mozart-faced chocolate...
