We stayed here two nights while we toured the town. We had two roons, one for the parents and one for our teens. The rooms were nice, except possibly a little dark. The bathrooms were relatively updated and clean.. Its not a five star accomodation but was comfortable. The hotel has a tiny parking lot but we were able to park there.
The staff was really friendly and very helpful. They always asked where we were going and if they could help. It is a great location, a 5 min walk to the river and lots of resturants close by.
We didn't eat breakfast there and I seem to remember that the wifi only worked in the hotel lobby.

My son and i stayed here for one night in january.
we had a lovely stay and Bruno and his staff were so friendly and helpful (as everyone was in salzburg, great city).
We had a lovely room on 1st floor, everything was perfect.
The breakfast was amazing!..so much of it.
we hope to return next year for a longer stay.
The hotel is great for bus and train station, and only 30 mins by bus from airport. Bus no2!

Hotel Mozart is conveniently located. It's a short walk to old town and a 1000 meter walk to the Salzburg Hbf. Rooms are comfortably large and well furnished. Our roomy included a sofa and coffee table. Bath had a heated towel rack.

Beyond the physical comforts the hotel staff from front desk to breakfast room and housekeeping was friendly, welcoming and helpful. (Yes, the hotel does get booking fees.). With an early afternoon train, we were allowed a delayed check out.

Winter rates were a bargain.

Our forth floor room faced the main street but night sound was minimal.

I had 3 nights as part of a solo stay in Salzburg. Hotel Mozart was a really good choice if a little out of where I found myself wanting to be.
My room had a wonderful view though over Salzburg Old Town and the snow capped mountains beyond. The shower and toilet are small but immaculate. My only criticisms are that I found the rooms overly hot but I opened the window (which had a great mechanism that allows the window either to open fully or to only open at the top) and I thought the pillows were simply not good enough. But turning off any heating and two pillows together improved things considerably.
Rene, the host was marvellously helpful in advice for dinner and suggestions for what to do.
I had breakfast at the hotel only one day and it was excellent although there wasn't any hot meals. The choice for anything else was very good but more in the line of a continental breakfast rather than an American style breakfast.
Altogether an excellent and not expensive place to stay. I found that I loved walking through Salzburg taking a different route each time.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor with mountain views.
