“Good position, but no way to get an internet connection”
Reviewed 3 June 2014 via mobile

The hotel is placed at the margins of the old town, a mere ten minutes walk from the fortress. It is marked as a four stars, but it should be considered as a three stars. The rooms are quite comfortable and large, the breakfast is complete and included. The internet connection, however, it is not. And although I actually asked to connect two devices, the wifi never really worked on neither. Three different people from the staff were asked for help, but none of them were capable of doing anything...I had to go to a wifi enabled gas station to book my next hotel

We stayed here for one night, at the end of December 2013. We had been staying with friends in Vienna, and took the train to Salzburg. We were able to easily walk from the station, and the reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was warm and comfortable, and we enjoyed being able to walk everywhere yet be out of the crush of people.

The breakfast was plentiful and varied, and we were grateful to be able to leave our bags until later the next day for our return to the station. There are not so many places where the service and reception staff are as congenial and helpful. I felt that the location was excellent. We enjoyed a really lovely stay in Salzburg and would recommend this hotel very highly.

Clean and modern good sized room and facilities. Great staff. We were very happy with this choice. Close to old town and even closer to Mirabelle palace as well as the north side walking street. If you do want a taxi, they are easy to get here. A laundromat is two blocks away; self serve or drop off. We skipped the breakfast (as someone in Tripadvisor advised) and started the day deliciously at cafe Fingerlos.

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it. Our room was decent sized with a king bed and another twin daybed. The room was super clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower had a tub. The location was so/so. It's in a nice quiet part of town, but I would've liked a slightly more central location. Though, it really was an easy walk to tourist attractions and the bus stop.

The hotel offers amazingly large/sturdy umbrellas for guests to take on rainy days and this was a huge help!!

While the rooms could be four stars, the hotel lacks amenities that four-star hotels would have in the U.S. I was disappointed there wasn't laundry service or a washer/dryer we could use. I wound up dropping off my laundry down the street to have it cleaned, while we explored the town.

For the price, I definitely feel that this hotel was a great value! The staff were helpful and friendly, especially the night guy. He was very jovial and we always enjoyed seeing him after a long day of site seeing.

Husband and I arrived at Hotel Mozart after a 20 minute walk from the train station on busy sidewalks and greeted by a smiling , friendly Rene who was very helpful with maps, directions & restaurant recommendations. We were given a nice, spacious room(503)that had twin beds, sofa, desk & chair. The beds had the worst mattresses and pillows that we have ever encountered in our travels-made for three miserable nights. This room has windows all across the front that open and also have blinds on the outside that can be opened/closed. We had a lovely view out of all these windows but be aware that if the windows are left open too much, your room may fill up with hundreds of little flying bugs. I actually slept on the sofa the last night trying to get away from some of them! There is no AC and no fan in the room.

The bathroom was a decent size and clean with a tub/shower combo. Only real issue was the lack of vanity space or storage to put toiletries out, not even a hook on the door or the wall to hang a toiletry case.

Plugs to charge were few, lighting was poor, no clock in the room but what scared us was no smoke detector or sprinkler system that we could find in the room in case of fire. Also, lack of internet in the room turned out to be more of an inconvenience than we thought it would be. It's much easier to lay in bed in your pj's to check next days weather, maps, Skype with children back home, confirm other hotels, make restaurant reservations, etc. than it is to sit dressed downstairs late at night in order to access the internet.

You can pull up in front of the hotel long enough to load/unload and park free on the street from 7 pm to 9am but the parking for the hotel is in a paid lot about 2 blocks away. We enjoyed Salzburg but if had it to do over again, we would pay a little more and stay closer to the Old Town area. It does use valuable time getting back & forth across the river.

Hotel Mozart has a lot of nice attributes but there are some things that could be improved to make it great, such as investing in better mattresses, pillows, smoke alarms and/or sprinklers, some bathroom storage or at least hooks on the back of the door or wall and maybe fans in the rooms.

We stayed at Hotel Mozart for one night in May 2014. We were greeted by the owner of the hotel who was very friendly and had great recommendations on what to do with one night in town. They give you a list when you check in of attractions and recommended hotels which was wonderful.

The hotel is a little bit away from the downtown area of Salzburg (A 10 Minute walk to the shopping district/bridge) and doesn't have many places to eat around it.

The hotel is very clean and modern and worth the price that we paid for it. We really enjoyed saying here and would definitely stay there again if we were in Salzburg.

This is a small hotel about 20 minutes walk from the station. It is situated in a quiet area, quite close to the Mirabell Gardens. It's a bit of a hike to the historic centre but there's a tram to take you there from right outside.

The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts (we had to pay 12 Euros extra, each) were OK-ish value. You couldn't get anything comparable close by which probably accounts for it. Our room was a bit small with not much of a view. However, given that Salzburg is a tourist trap it might be hard to find better value.
