“Great location - skip the breakfast!”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

In a fantastic location for exploring salzburg - close enough to the train station to walk there with bags, but also great for exploring the main sites and old town. wouldn't recommend getting the breakfast - there are plenty of good options around at a much more reasonable price. The rooms are also particularly small, but as long as you aren't planning on spending much time in there this is fine.

I stayed here during Christmas Markets- I had a single room, but it was a very generous sized bed, which was really comfy. Staff were generally fairly efficient and friendly. It is in a great location and you can get the bus to/from the airport within 5 minutes walk. My only criticism would be the breakfast- it was very overpriced for a bog-standard breakfast with slightly frozen rolls! Would have been more economic to have breakfast at the cafe over the road.

Very Comfortable hotel in a quiet street close to the Mirabelle gardens. Receptionists were very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent English. Martin (i believe?) kindly booked us at a tavern for a meal, helpful as our German is not brilliant. Ursulla? also really helpfull in showing us where to go etc.Breakfast in hotel was good although we only took it on one morning as there was plenty of nearby cafes to enjoy breakfast outside. Rooms were very comfortable, with all facilities, safe etc. Only slight concern was the size of the shower, being on the small side. But that was a very minor point
It was a 10-15 minute walk from the Train station and a similar distance to the other side of the river and town. We thought an ideal position really.
Altogether a lovely stay, we would certainly stay again and recommend to others

Nine of us on a 5 day holiday had a great time here. While the rooms are not large, the beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are modern, the whole hotel has been nicely renovated, the buffet breakfast was very good and the staff were always positive, friendly and helpful. The location is central and it is easy to reach many of the city's highlights on foot. There is some traffic/street noise but no more than you might expect in a busy city. Martin and Ursula at the front desk were always willing to give directions and help organize some of our activities, both inside the hotel and elsewhere in the city. We all left feeling that we had made an excellent hotel choice.

We only stayed here one night, but were very pleased with the hotel. It was spotlessly clean, and although there's no A/C (like pretty much every other hotel in Europe), it wasn't uncomfortable. We had a room right off the stairs, and I was worried that we'd be bothered with noise of other travelers walking by, but it turned out to be very quiet.

Ursula at the front desk spoke excellent English, and was incredibly helpful. She gave us some great tips for seeing Salzburg that not only helped us seeing the best of the area, but literally saved us hundreds of Euros.

We had a wonderful time, and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel was extremely clean. The decor of this boutique hotel was old but it looked lovely and very traditional. The room was also clean and airy. It was very small though with not a lot of space to move about. The bathroom was also very clean and with great water pressure. Reception desk was extremely helpful, a lady in a blonde bob hair was so helpful and she gave us some very useful tips. Location was also great and right in the center. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed 3 nights at this well located hotel. A little dated but clean and cheerful. The manager is just charming. Our room was large and had all we needed. We got a really good deal but it was out of season. Didn't have breakfast in the hotel as there were some fabulous cafes just across the road. A glass of wine was about 3 euros in the quaint little bar.
