For me it is whether a hotel gets the little things right that determines if it is good or not - and during our stay , this hotel did this with ease.
It would be very easy for a hotel such as this to rely on reputation / name alone and let the overall proposition slip ( as is the case with so many hotels nowadays ) - but The Sacher doesnt do this in any way.
From the moment you are greeted at the door by the porter (who knew who we were without us saying ) to when you check out you just get a sense that everything and everyone you come into contact with is there to make your stay enjoyable.
We had a standard room at the front of the hotel which was very charming but very functional at the same time. Lovely bathroom and the tv had probably the best sound I have come across in a hotel tv.
The breakfast was magnificent every morning of our 4 night stay with a great choice. It was so nice to be greeted by the lovely Charlotte every morning - but everyone was nice to speak to.
The front desk gave great suggestions for evening meals (Alt Saltzburg and Baren Virt)
Simply a great stayMore
