Walking through Salzburg's Old Town is an absolute delight. Narrow pedestrianized streets suddenly open out into beautiful expansive squares with statues and fountains. It was all extremely photogenic. There are numerous bars, cafes and restaurants to tempt you off the streets or, in our case, provide shelter from the fairly persistent rain. At the time of our visit there was a festival with stalls selling beer, barbecued whole fish and much more to the sound of a brass band. At night all the monuments are floodlit giving another dimension to the town. Highly recommended
