Our experience at Gasthof Badl couldn't have been better. When we arrived and were greeted by Sonya, we knew we were in for an uncommon experience. She made us feel so welcome, plus she also gave us an very good orientation to the region. The room was excellent with a breathtaking view of a river, a beautiful village, and the snow capped Alps. Also, the hotel's very pretty gardens. Breakfast was very good. The town of Hall is SO pretty, as is Innsbruck which is only a few minutes away. We really could have stayed a couple of weeks and would love to return!

Gasthof Badl took care of us even though we arrived before the usual check-in time... and on the wrong day. The staff was friendly and helpful, the enormous dog who enjoys belly rubs was great, and our room had a balcony overlooking the river. It was a perfect stay.

I stayed here for a week and cannot fault it at all. The guest house is family owned and run and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My room was light and airy with a fantastic view of he mountains. Only a ten minute stroll over the bridge into the old town. Good food and well worth the price. Would definitely visit again.

How can you describe Paradise? Gasthof Badl. We booked originally for three nights, but stayed four. and next year we will book longer. The staff.... I just cannot say enough nice things about the staff. Everyone was so pleasant, helpful and cheerful. I originally thought they were working but I found out they were actually enjoying themselves, while working. Amazing. And Sonja, the owner described them as family.
Our breakfasts were abundant, with fresh fruit, meats and cheeses, wonderful bread, great coffee, and pleasant service. Max served us dinner every night, with suggestions of items not on the menu. And what a great menu. And I had the best tomatoe cream soup that I have ever eaten in my life. The garlic cream soup, the schweinrostbraten, the deserts ....
Thank you Sonja for a fantastic vacation and fantastic memories.

Room Tip: The riverside rooms have a great view of the adjacent mountains

We just got home from our very first trip to Europe (December 16th through January 8, 2014). We stayed 2.5 weeks in Austria and one week in Paris. While most of our Austrian visit was in Vienna (our son is studying abroad there for his full junior year of university), we planned a 4 day venture to Tirol. We found Gasthof Badl through Rick Steves' Austria guidebook and then checked them out here on TripAdvisor. We were so pleased with our choice! The value was excellent. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and charming. The restaurant was outstanding! But most of all, Sonja and her family and staff were just the best. So kind. Full of excellent suggestions for seeing the area, encouraging and supportive. When we told friends who live in Telfs (just on the other side of Innsbruck) that we were staying in Hall, they kind of laughed at us and couldn't figure out why we chose there. When we told them where we were staying though, the matriarch in the family shushed them by telling them that she often goes over for dinner because the restaurant is excellent. Beyond that, the medieval village of Hall is amazing. Still standing and thriving. If you are looking for a place to stay that is not in the midst of the more hectic, touristy, over the top ski villages (but close enough that you can manage to still go skiing as my husband and son did), that has some wonderful history, that feels like being welcomed into a warm family home, that is comfortable and affordable - Gasthof Badl is the place for you! (and we loved the family dogs too!)

Room Tip: A river side room is a great choice - you can open the window and listen to the river flow by at nig...

This was our fifth stay at the Gasthof Badl. If you're looking for a place in the Innsbruck area, this is the place to stay. Sonja, the owner, Max, Margit, Agi and everyone else look after your every need. Everyone goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. They are tops! Our last stay was in 11/10 and since then the rooms have had a makeover. Very nicely done. It's more like a superior hotel without the "superior" price, plus you feel as if your staying with friends. Hard to beat. Also, the restaurant serves incredible meals at reasonable prices and the breakfast buffet, incl. with the room, has a wide variety of items. Thanks again to Sonja and the staff, we hope to see you again.

Room Tip: Try for a room with a balcony. There's nothing like waking up to the beautiful view of the alps...

We loved Gasthof Badl. It was so conveniently located right off the freeway and just on the other side of the bridge leading to the old town. The rooms were beautifully appointed, clean and the top corner was just the right size for our family of four. Hall in Tirol is a quaint Austrian town giving one just the right dosage of Alpine charm for a night. The only complaint, is that on a hot summer night, there is no air conditioning.
