“Lovely hotel, great view of the Alps”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

Rumer Hof is a beautiful hotel, the rooms have good space and are very well decorated. It is very comfortable. Our room had a great view of the Alps. It has hair dryers. We arrived in at sunday, that was a problem because everything was closed. They didn´t have a near store to buy the most urgent stuff. The girl in reception was not very helpful, nor polite, she was actually rude and didn´t try to help us in getting basic needs items. Some people in our group didn´t speak english, this was a big problem for them. There isn´t any near place for dinner, excepting for McDonalds. Breakfast was great, even when it was continental it included ham, cheese and eggs. The restaurant is great and the service good. The bus stop is right infront the hotel. The internet is free.

I asked for a room facing south,so had no problems sleeping with the window open all night. Stayed on the 4th floor with my own large balcony and lovely view of the mountains. This might not be so great on lower floors on the south side. The room was cosy, clean and comfortable with bright light fittings, the bathroom was very clean, bright and spacious. But no Shampoo/Conditioner was provided. I would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast buffet however, was delightful with a great variety of choices! The staff ( reception, breakfast room, cleaners) were polite and helpful. The very regular bus connection into the city is close by as is a train connection. A very well known Cafe/Konditorei "Murauer" is in close walking distance as is a big supermarket "Interspar" with a host of other shops such as a post office, hairdresser ,restaurant.... Laundry could be a problem as the hotel has no facilities ! Overall I was very pleased with the hotel and I had an enjoyable stay!

Room Tip: Higher up and facing south if sleeping with open window as north side might be facing mountains clos...

It was a relatively small hotel but tastefully decorated. My room was small, pleasant and clean. Toiletries were provided and there was wifi in the public areas. There was no ac and my room faced the road so my sleep was fitful not only because of the traffic passing in the night but also it became it became hot sometime in the night. It is within walking distance to the town centre of Rum and has beautiful views of the Austrian Alps. Breakfast was average and the staff was pleasant and helpful. It does not have much to do in the immediate surroundings but is a good spot to sleepover as you continue your journey across Austria.

Actually in suburban Rum (hence the name), Rumerhof is a good choice for visitors driving rental cars: Far enough outside the Innsbruck core to provide easy highway access and free, open-lot parking, but close enough for easy in-and-out of the city. If you prefer not to drive into the city center, you can take a bus or a suburban train across the highway.
When I was there, air-conditioning was not needed, and I found good rooms and outstanding service from the staff. WiFi was no-charge.
Rumerhof does a lot of tour group business, but the hotel is good at isolating the groups from individual travelers.

Cosmo Tours booked this hotel. Very old hotel with NO AC, WIFI was 5 Euro an hour. The inside of the hotel was very nice. With NO AC you had to open all the windows witch did not do much good. It did let in a lot of noise from all the cars going by and the train running all night. Breakfast and dinner was just so so . When we got on the bus the next mooring and the tour guide said our next hotel will have AC and WIFI everyone cheered and clapped. Everyone was happy after two nights of NO AC.

Beautiful hotel surrounded by the Austrian alps. Great view from our room we were on second floor facing the alps. Reception girls were very nice & friendly.
Bathroom was good with shower soap & shower gel satchels were supplied.
Room was clean, it had a safe but didn't work.
This hotel is 15 minute drive from Innsbruck city centre. There was the train station RUM across the road. Wifi was 5 euro for 1 hour but McDonalds was next door with free wifi. Not much else around area. Now the big downfall no air conditioner so room was a sauna. Woke up at 2.30 am very very hot.

We were booked to stay for a few nights. Upon arrival they said they "upgraded" us to the apartment building across the parking lot. Weary of it we accepted. Big mistake. It was freezing in there without hot water. The tv was about 10 inches in size , no stations and it looked like a night vision camera. There was no phone in the room and no glasses. So we watched a movie on our ipod touch and froze our butts off. At 2 am, a little party started in the apartment above which lasted intil 6am. We went to the reception the next day to complain and said that we were checking out. The front desk clerk did not apologize and said she would not refund us. Do not book here, you will regret it! Unacceptable treatment that would never be tolerated in the USA.
