“Terrible food, terrible service and good beer”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

I should have made an about face when I entered. The waitress was abrupt and somewhat demanding! I ordered a beer that was great and a fish platter (menu of the day) that could have better been served as a door-stop. The fish was neither grilled nor fried; it was petrified - hard as a rock.

“Fun dinner”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

The night we went there were two groups of friends who apparently supported opposing efforts of what I assume from my bad German was a local sporting event. There were table kegs and yelling, toasts and chants, everything you would expect from a German brewhaus. It did scare off a few patrons who wanted a quieter meal which is understandable. We were just happy that our toddler was not making the worst scene.

The food was very good, we all had a version of Austrian staples. I had spaetzle and our family had versions of schnitzel.

The beer was delicious. A variety of house beers and a cider blend made a great impression on my non-beer drinking family.

4 marks for food and taste and atmosphere on the one night we went!

“Local Place/Do as the Loclas”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Being close to our hotel, we took some drinks here and went for a walk. We returned for the dinner. The place is big with terasse on the street and a beer garden. Inside you have smokers and non-smokers separately. A typical local austrian pub/restaurant. The menu concists of a variety of food. Every day there is special promotion of one dish.Today it was ribs. Looking at the very big portion we decided not fool ourselves and took asparagus toast, a carpaccio and as dessert crepes with marmelade. The food was good and the service excellent and fast. We had beer, prosecco and wine. Nothing to complain about. If you like local ambience, go.

“Nothing Special - OK for a beer”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

We visited this restaurant after a long day on the hill. Because we were starving and it was one of the only (nearby) restaurants open for dinner at 5:30 PM, we gave it a shot.

I would compare it to an Austrian TGI Friday's. Service was *adequate* but the staff did NOT go out of their way to make you feel welcome, or give you the feeling that they care about your dining experience.

A fine place for a few beers. But honestly for a simple meal you might be better off walking a few feet down the road and buying some fresh bread, meat, wine and cheese from the local grocery store.

“Good beers”
Reviewed 3 February 2014

Much bigger than it appears from the street. Smoking and non-smoking area. Good atmosphere. Good staff, friendly. Mixed clientele.
Good beers including several brewed on site. Didn't eat so can't comment.
