Owner description: Our family has been organizing Tyrolean Evenings in Innsbruck since 1967 already, and for many people we are the musical ambassadors representing Innsbruck and Tyrolean Music around the world. Do not miss one of the best folk performances all across Europe which only includes authentic Tyrolean music, Folk dances and “shoe-slapping” as well as typical Tyrolean songs and “yodelling”. We entertain our national and international audience on a daily basis and it would be a pleasure to welcome you to one of our shows during your visit to the city of Innsbruck. Our Tyrolean Evening Shows take place daily from April through October at the Sandwirt Restaurant in Innsbruck. In addition, we provide a wide range of events during the winter season with Christmas Concerts and Tyrolean Evenings.

“Fun evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

The meal was authentic and well prepared. We enjoyed the family show and the many instruments and yodeling. One of the performers picked us up from our hotel and back for five euros each - special service! At end of show, the performers sang refrains for over 20 nationalities in the audience -- nice finale for all!

“Event not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

We arrived at the venue and we were served with 3 course dinner which was very delicious, The service was of little delay but that was understandable due to so many people. We enjoyed our 1 hr dinner and then we went for the show. I was little pessimistic for the show but i was thrilled to find how exciting it was The show was so enjoyable and the crowd was so lovely. This was the last event of my tour and it was such a fabulous end. This was actually one of my best events throughout the tour. Highly recommended.

“Great Fun with a very energetic family”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

What a great way to be introduced to music and dance from the area. We went as a group and got to sit right up front so we didn't miss anything including a few wood chips thrown our way.
We were given a couple of drinks, beer, wine or soft drink. We laughed and yodeled along with the wonderful family on stage. I thought it was neat that they recognized all the countries with flags at the end of the show. A very talented family

“Like the von Trapp family singers, only much better!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 May 2014

If you like my daggy review title you will like this night of Tyrolean fun and unadulterated musical talent that doesn't take itself too seriously.

This is a great show, ranging from dancing to singing to yodelling to playing unusual instruments from the area. The performers all had a great rapport with each other and the audience and every single act was a pleasure to watch.

I particularly enjoyed the singing from the women, who were all extremely talented vocalists. The dancing was also a highlight as it was fun and definitely not like anything that I'd ever seen before!

The ending where they played and sung sections of the national anthems of everybody in the audience was a nice touch. They played Waltzing Matilda for Australia, which was nice, even though it's not actually our national anthem (in fact, it's a much better song so I was much relieved).

Additionally, this was such a friendly group of people who were really welcoming to me as a solo traveller. I organised transfers between my hotel and the show and these were a fantastic opportunity to get to know more about the show and life in Tyroll.

Thank you very much to the Gundolf Family!!

“Wonderful evening of music and dance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 May 2014

We went to the Tiroler Abend, “Tyrolean Evening” show, with traditional dances and songs including shoe-slapping and yodeling. It’s organized and performed by the Gundolf family and was fun (price includes taxi/shuttle to and from). You can have dinner there (it is a restaurant as well as music review venue), but we chose to take the no-dinner option (the seating for this section is better than for the dinner guests, which is at the back of the restaurant and as you are seated at tables you are facing sideways instead of forward to the stage).

Despite what some might call too touristy, we found it informative and hugely entertaining. The entire Gundolf family is simply amazing – their mastery of musical instruments, from harp to cow bells, is excellent along with their singing and dancing. So, if you are up to a fairly tightly packed venue (lots of bus tours), although we had very comfortable seating near the stage, you will have an enjoyable evening with a talented family whose delight in their Tyrolean traditions is infectious.

We recommend this show highly.
