As others have said, this hotel is an easy walk from the train station. Very charming, old world style. Tiny elevator, but just as easy to take the stairs. Rooms were adequate size, basic in comfort. If you have a room facing the street it will be noisy, and the buildings and street configuration seem to amplify the noise--voices echo and bounce off the buildings. Still, we liked being in the heart of it all, within easy walking distance of so many things to see. The front desk was very helpful and laid back. They didn't mind us storing 5 suitcases in their office after check-out, and were very accommodating in arranging a taxi (which comes immediately). The breakfast was very nice, lots of choices. Quaint, charming breakfast rooms. Very interesting decor in the public areas--many old photos, antique pieces. Would definitely stay again. Only downside is no air conditioning which is fine with windows open, but then there's the street-noise factor. Our teenagers found that interesting! Seemed like the area was full of young people, so very lively.
