“Great location, hotel not so great”
Reviewed 5 April 2014

We visited this hotel on our honeymoon as we travelled round Europe. The location was fab; very central and on the river. We had told the hotel that it was our honeymoon when we booked and hoped for a nice room but were rather disappointed by a rather run down room, with a window overlooking the backs of other buildings. The whole hotel was rather dated and the pool was cold.

Dear Abigail D. , many thanks for your assessment. We are very pleased that you had booked our house during your honeymoon. A little remark at the booking is very helpful for our team in the background so that we can block a beautiful wedding room in the front-end. On the day of the journey we have already allocated our most beautiful rooms under circumstances. Since the water is regularly replaced in our inner pool, sometimes it lasts for something until the correct temperature adapts again. We are very sorry that the water was too cold during your visit. We wish you all best meanwhile and would be very happy if you and your husband visit our house again. Kind greetings your hotel Innsbruck TEAM

Quite simply an amazing city and hotel! The staff are warm friendly welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The location is central and has great views. The hotel is immaculate, and I mean pristine throughout. The sauna / balcony / pool etc. are roomy, and clean.

Innsbruck itself is a charming place and I would go out of ski season and would be sure to enjoy it as much. I will def return.

Thought it was great value for money also.

Comfy hotel with perfect location to explore the wonderful city. Staff were without exception top drawer. Breakfast was really good too, and available from early to late morning. Only issue was that the room decs were a bit old fashioned and the relentless heat, but overall a great choice.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our 3 year old. Check in was fast and efficient and our room was spacious (we had a triple room with a great view).

The overall hotel is nice and in a great location to explore innsbruck. The breakfast is not worth the money if not included in your room. The pool area is clean but the pool water was cold!

The ski room was good.

The main reason we wouldn't return is the smoke smell. People can smoke in any room. Our neighbors seemed to smoke all night. We tried to keep the window open but it was too loud to sleep. Unfortunate because we liked the hotel but they must fix the ventilation or make non smoking rooms before I would return.

Many thanks for your re-registration with your constructive criticism. We like to inform you that we already have stories with non-smoking rooms, the allocation is always carried out on demand. If a guest indicates the wish in the field of reservation on a non-smoking room, this is assigned to him of course. In any case we would be very pleased to be allowed to welcome you as a guest in our house again. We wish you everything love in the meantime! Your hotel Innsbruck team

Stayed at the Hotel Innsbruck for a couple of night on a skiing trip. The building stays in the edge of the Old City and close to the river, it has a pretty nice view and it is walking distance to pretty much every sight in Innsbruck. Also had parking facilities inside the hotel and a nearby public paid parking, which were very convenient. It also has sauna and a pool, but I didn't have the chance to check it out though. Rooms were clean and pretty comfortable, although I found it very noisy in the morning - had the feeling that I could hear every door closing, or slamming! Overall, it's a bit old fashioned but filled our needs in the end.

Location: it's about a 15 minute walk from the train station and right by old town but on a busy road.

Room: requested a quiet room but got one faced the busy road, although with a view to mountains. However, no view is worth constant traffic noise. The traffic noise lasts all night There is an adjoining door to the room next door and we could hear every conversation that went on. We requested to change rooms and they charged extra EUR20 because the room slept four people instead of 3, although room's decor hasn't been upgraded as the noisy one. They couldn't give us another 3 person room because they all face the busy street. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom needed updating.

Breakfast has a good selection of food.

The service is just okay at the hotel.

I would not return to this hotel.

Ines P, Good location but lacking charm at Hotel Innsbruck, responded to this review, 6 March 2014
We greatly regret that you might not enjoy your stay with us. Because we are a city hotel, the noise level can be unfortunately do not influence, because we are also located next to a main road in the Centre of Innsbruck. It was very pleased that you enjoyed our breakfast service and the beds.
We also greatly regret, that we had no quieter rooms available. Due to the high workload during a Congress in Innsbruck, we had no free alternative capacities. We would be happy to welcome you to show you that we are always committed to the well-being of our guests at another time we welcome. Our House also has a very relaxing and newly renovated Spa area.
In the meantime we wish you a good time!
Best regards your hotel Innsbruck TEAM

Location, views, spa, superb breakfast and hotel staff were perfect. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. I would recommend walking around the area as there are plenty of restaurants and plenty to see, very romantic.
