“Perfect location in old town Innsbruck”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

We stayed at Hotel Innsbruck in late May 2014.
Prefect location in old town and walkable to many restaurants and shops.
Great amenities including pool, spa, massage, sauna, steam room, banquet rooms and high speed internet.
There was construction on an old church building right outside of our window and very noisy during the day. If that is of any concern, you may want to request a room on the other side of the hotel. Just a temporary problem but one to be aware of.
Over all Hotel Innsbruck is a wonderful place with very accommodating staff and a well maintained facility.

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many of Innsbrucks attractions. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a view over the streets of the old town. A highlight was to wake one morning and it was snowing past our window. The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to look after my husband when he was ill. Although food at dinner was rather plain, there was a wide choice available at the buffet breakfast.

The hotel is conveniently located near to the old town. The city is small. If you arrive by air, it is 10-minute taxi away. If you arrive by train, it is 15-minute walking distance. Though centrally located, rooms are quiet. The hotel room are neat and clean. Breakfast is good with quite some choices of food.

This hotel was in front of one of the most majestic mountains. The staff was always there to solve the little problems at the room, like when we ran out of soap, and shampoo. The bus stop in front of the hotel was very convenient. They told us to go to The Tourist information center around the corner, and they recommend us an amazing restaurant and places to go. At the end of the day, the bar was very relaxing for beer, wine or coffee. I even left my coat one night and at the end of the other day I went and they have it for me. We asked for a wake up call in case our phone fail, well thanks god our phone did work! But the taxi they promised was there in time to take us to the train station. So all in forgiven. ❤️

Room Tip: We were in first floor and it was not noisy

This hotel is located right in the midst of the historic part of Innsbruck within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Most of the rooms have beautiful views of the Alps. Ours looked out on the historic district but was much quieter than the view rooms because of limited traffic in that area. The breakfast was a good mix of hot and cold foods. It is a great place if you want to be within walking distance of all of the sights.

Room Tip: If you want to look out at the mountains, request a room that has that view. If you want a quieter...

The hotel is located in the centre of Innsbruck near to the Golden Roof. Step out of the entrance, cross the road and look at the river. This hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff are very helpful and a credit to Innsbruck. Will definitely stay here again.

We booked this hotel for a 4 night stay in family (2 adults and 2 young children). We decided to go for the suite for the extra room (used as bedroom for the kids).
The room was very nice, very clean, had climate control, and no noise at all. We were facing the street (meaning as well the river) but as we were on the 5th floor, we could not hear cars at all.
The breakfast was delicious and very copious (although not cheap). We ate dinner twice in the hotel and twice it was excellent and service was really fast. We used the indoor pool twice, it is lovely, but NOT heated. So it's at room temperature which is probably around 23-25 DegC.
During the whole stay, the hotel staff has been incredibly nice to all of us, it was a real pleasure to deal with them.
The hotel location is perfect. You can access it by road (not in the pedestrian area) but it's literally downtown, and the most we had to walk to get to the points of interest was probably less than 500m.
The only downside I would find is the parking. Obviously, it is very nice that there is a parking, however to access with your car you need to take a car elevator. It means your car is rather safe once in, but on our departure date, the elevator broke down and there was no other way to take the car out. Finally one hotel staff managed to get it to work while waiting for the repair-man, so we didnt get delayed more than 15 min.
