Description: In a protected historic building in a classic Alpine style dating from 1400, the family-run Gasthof zum Schupfen is only a 10-minute drive from the centre of Innsbruck. It offers panoramic mountain views, an award-winning slow food restaurant, and free WiFi in public areas and most of the rooms. The spacious rooms overlook the mountains and feature light wooden furniture, a flat-screen satellite TV, and a bathroom. In Gasthof zum Schupfen's restaurant, guests can enjoy Tyrolean and international cuisine made from regional and seasonal products. Herbs and vegetables come from the hotel's own garden. A varied breakfast buffet is served every morning. In fine weather, guests can enjoy breakfast on the terrace. The restaurant also has a garden, a bar, and a fireplace. Gasthof zum Schupfen is famous for serving as Tyrolean rebel leader Andreas Hofer's headquarters during the Battles of Bergisel in 1809. His room is now a museum and can be visited. The property also features a children's playground and a ski storage room. Free private parking is available on site. Several ski areas are a 10 to 20-minute drive away. The Innsbruck-Sud exit of the A13 motorway is a 2-minute drive away. Bus line 4145 stops right in front and takes you to Innsbruck Main Train Station in 14 minutes.

After a wonderful reception and stay in Düsseldorf, we didn't receive a good welcome in Innsbruck. We arrived slightly later than check in after a 9 hour drive and we were "told off " for arriving late and given our key. We then asked for direction to get something to eat as our travels had been long, told there was nothing despite them clearing up in the restaurant!, we were not shown our room and entered another room by accident (sorry) and felt a bit abandoned. We were so looking forward to our stop over in Innsbruck for the first time ever.

The room was ok, the breakfast in the morning was however more refreshing with a lovely girl attending.

Customer service was really bad and not welcoming when we arrived, this is part of our road trip and this has not made great memories of our stay in Innsbruck, just a wee bit of courtesy would have been good .

Dear Mr,Mrs. not a 9 o'clock but you arrived at 22 o'clock (on Sunday). any phone, any information about the late arrival (see important information on your booking)
I could not recommend restaurants because they are all closed so lete (only the gas station and Mc Donald is open). Innsbruck is a small town!!!
For the future I recommend you a 4 star hotel with 24h check-in Service.
best regards

Didn't expect much from a little hotel restaurant, but the dishes were very tasty.
Prices were fair and the service was awesome.

If you like slow food and you're in the area... That's the place for you.

We had been looking forward to that meal because of their slow food reputation and we're not disappointed. Everything was very good. We were traveling with kids and everybody was helpful and friendly. Very nice experience!
