Just a short (20 min) train ride from Innsbruck this hotel is great value. It's on a main road but lovely views of mountains all around. The restauant is very cosy and everything is comfortable and in great order, very clean. The wood panelled rooms feel cosy and the staff are very helpful and friendly - eg. printing out my e-ticket from my hotmail account on the reception computer. Definitely worth considering as an alternative to hotels in Innsbruck with your money going much further here.

Have just come back from an excellent weekend trip to innsbruk.

The Tyrolis Hotel is an excellent privately owned hotel with excellent service with a friendly smile.

You need to hire a car from the airport to get the best from this hotel as it is a 20mins drive to three or four ski resorts.

I would go back in a heart beat.

I have just returned from spending a week at the Tyrolis Hotel in Zirl. From the minute I arrived the staff made me feel comfortable and at home.
Accommodation was comfortable with rooms decorated in traditional tyrolian style. They would benefit if modern TV's were provided with either BBC World or CNN available as I couldn't find an English speaking channel.
Breakfast is a buffet and comprises of the usual items so nothing really new. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent with a varied menu. Food was fresh, of a high quality and always served hot. Many thanks to Ingrid for being such a great host.
During the week the hotel guests were mainly business people with families checking in at the weekend.
The hotel is a 20 minute bus ride from Innsbruck so is ideal for an independant traveller who may not wish to ski. The city offers many cultural experiences but with easy access to the mountains. It is definitely worth purchasing an Innsbruck Card for travel on the local buses and trams throughout the city, admission to museums and a trip up each of the main lifts.
Would I go back to Hotel Tyrolis - definitely. You are treated like an individual and not a number.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the road as there is quite a lot of traffic through the village.

I say a couple of ideas because, due to the high standards of quality prevalent in Austria, there is not the usual grab bag of cost cutting options. This superlative hotel was the center of our plan. We never expected it to be so lovely; dazzling cleanliness in every corner, and as picturesque as a storybook. You will congratulate yourself for arranging such an authentic Austrian experience for yourself. Did I tell you that the rooms start at around $80? This is one example of getting a better bargain in a delightful, full-service hotel than in most private rentals.

The rooms have rich wood walls, and are very comfortable. It is quiet at night, the staff wear lederhosen and are gracious in every way, and the views are just wonderful. The beautifully arranged food is of the best quality. The fresh air and cleanliness along with skiing, make you feel just so alive. This is exactly the sort of place you want to be to have that experience, and you will still be pleased with your bill.

We always arrange the hotel ourselves, and scout online for the best priced flight tickets for the dates we have in mind. Because long-term airport parking is costly, we opt for hotel and park packages. Stay123 usually has the best offers for these, this last trip we saved about half. Use communication apps on your iphone, Android or Blackberry to make calls via free wifi:. skype, whatsapp, viber and ebuddyxms are some examples. There is free wifi in most cafes, and the library.

The Innsbruck card, which can be bought at the downtown tourist info center, is a real gem. Free entrance to museums and attractions, free public transport and a ride, both ways, on one of the ski lifts. You can choose 1,2 or 3 day denominations - museums are expensive here without it(but worth it). We saved easily over $100 just the first couple of days. Just remember - museums are closed on Mondays here, and it would be an unpleasant surprise to plan one of your Innsbruck card days for a Monday.

Beutiful hotel about 10 minutes from Innsbuck. Wonderful food in the restaurant, beautiful wood carvings in room and hotel. The hotel is a family run hotel with a knowledgeable staff. No air condition in the summer, but you probably will not need it. Cute, simple hotel with Tyrolean traditional Austrian Hotel. The food is good and reasonable priced, it appeared that many locals came to eat. Ample free parking if you have a rental car and you would need one to get around. My family enjoyed the stay and the Tyrolean Hotel makes pretty pictures for memories.

Room Tip: If traveling with family, some rooms have a extra room with a couch attached.

I really liked this hotel because it' very charming and magical. I stayed in this beautiful town at Christmas time and I was glad to breathe the true spirit of Christmas.
The facade is typical and I prefer this hotel to many modern hotels.
The room, the public areas and the breakfast room were characteristics and very pretty.
The only thing I didn't like was the moquette.
Everything was perfect and just as I imagined. I was very happy to breathe the true spirit of the mountain.

Really enjoyed the stay at this sympathtically restored traditional Autian hotel. Exteria has amazing murals / paintings / flowers, while inside, there are some incredible wood carvings throughout. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, who wear traditional durndals and lederhosen. Cuisine is superb and presented to very high standards. Highly recommended - would return in a heartbeat to enjoy this place again when visiting Innsbruck.

Room Tip: Choosing a room on the street can be noisy if you have the window open, which is necessary in warm w...
