Was lucky enough to stay with family at the Chalet Inn this past Christmas/New Year period.
With 9 of us (including 1 small child) occupying both apartments, I never felt cramped at all. My wife, son and I taking up the bottom apartment (Apartment #2), and it was great.
Bedroom sizes were generous, with plenty of space to chill out and relax. There were also three bathrooms across the three levels which meant things were never crowded.
Location was good. There are two ways to get up to Hungerburg (if you don't have a car, that is). We initially caught the J bus from the centre of town with the trip up taking approximately 15 minutes. Buses ran frequently, and especially in Hungerburg itself where if one bus left, the next would arrive. You could also catch the Hungerburg Funicular, which ran just as often however was a tad more expensive each trip (7 Euro for a return trip, if memory serves).
The Chalet is less than 100m from the Nordkettebahn, which is handy if (like us) you're skiing, or just like looking at once-in-a-lifetime views.
