+ LOCATION
The Garni Entrasser is cozy small hotel off Kitzbuehel’s town center and is located along the town’s main road connection to Italy and Germany. The town center with its many restaurants and shops is a 15-minute walk away.

If you come here during summer you can take the bus or your car to different hiking trails or you start at the trails behind the property. During winter there is a ski shuttle serving the area.

+ ROOMS
From most rooms that come with a patio or balcony you have a scenic view over the surrounding mountains.

The rooms are spacious and come with a rustic wooden interior but seemed to be updated with new bathrooms. E.g. our room had a cool bathroom glass door with a black and white mountain photo print on it.

+ STAFF
The family that runs the garni was super attentive and friendly and open for chats.

+ BREAKFAST
The breakfast offered plenty of choices, including different Austrian bread, rolls, jam, cheeses, cut meat, fresh fruits, joghurt, eggs, etc.

Overall the garni is a nice and affordable location to stay off season and even during winter when the town’s hotel rates are skyrocketing.

+ cozy and small Austrian accommodation,
+ delicious breakfast,
+ attentive hosts

Room Tip: Ask for a room off the street at the upper floors.

My husband has stayed here 4 times now while attending a language school just down the road. This was my first visit and I can see why he keeps coming back. Klaus made us feel very welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble. Amusingly, although his English is perfect, he refused to speak it to the language students. I got exemption since I was there for the walking. The rooms are all recently refurbished with comfortable beds and balconies. The breakfasts are excellent. Klaus takes trouble to ensure that the eggs are boiled just right. It is just a short walk to the town and the bus stop is just outside. A supermarket and deli are 5 minutes away. There is an indoor pool but this was not in use while we were there but Klaus did fire up the sauna for me. Last but not least, it's very good value for money. We were in summer but it would be an excellent base for the independent skier.

Pension Entstrasser is a family-run hotel about a mile south of Kitzbuhel town centre. The standard of maintenance and decor is excellent, rooms are of an adequate size, staff are friendly and breakfast is that which is typically found in Austria. My bathroom was superb and certainly better than in many of the big name places I have stayed. A pool and sauna are available. The hotel is set back from a major road and has plenty of parking space, at no cost. Although it lies on a busy road, I found that traffic noise was not a problem. For those who want to eat dinner, there is a wide range of restaurants in the town centre, whilst the cafe on the opposite corner offers snacks all day and a set lunch menu. A Bank and bus stops are just seconds away on foot. Overall, this is a brilliant hotel, in a reasonably convenient position, and giving good value for money.

I've stayed here for part of February, four of the past five years. It's a friendly and comfortable family-run hotel at the edge of Kitzbühel village. As a ski hotel, it's a great value. Ski busses are convenient to both the Kitzbühel and Resterhöhe sections of the ski area. Two bus stops are less than a fifty meter walk from the hotel. One direction gets you to the Hahnenkamm gondola in under ten minutes. The other direction gets you to the Jochberg lift in the same time. I often like to take the twenty minute ride to the Panoramabahn gondola in Resterhöhe, and then do a portion of the SkiSafari back to Jochberg or the Hahnenkamm.

The rooms are nicely furnished, with newly renovated bathrooms. The views of the mountains are fabulous from the rooms' balconies. Breakfast is hearty and tasty. Other amenities include a small indoor pool, a sauna, and a ski storage room.

The hotel is near three supermarkets, a large ski shop, and a pub. A downside is the lack of restaurants near the hotel, but the walk into town is easy enough. It's fifteen minutes into the center of the village, half of which is along the river. Also, it's always possible to take a short taxi ride.

All in all, a great place to stay. I'll be back!

Stayed for one night in September having arrived in Kitzbuhel without a reservation. This hotel was available according to the the tourist office and was easy to find. It was well located with a 15 minute walk into the centre of town. The male on the front desk was very helpful not only with the room but with directions to town and recommendations for dinner. We had a room on the front with balcony and whilst the decor is a little dated to our taste, the room was very clean and equipped with what we needed. There was also an indoor pool but we didn't make use of this. Breakfast was quite good with a choice of meats, cheeses, bread and some fruit. This was a good hotel and good value too.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front have a balcony but there is some noise from the road.
