Just returned from a week at the Edelweiss travelling with Thomsons. I had already read TripAdvisor Reviews which made me choose the Edelweiss in the first place but the hotel surpassed all our expectations. Friendliness, helpfulness, plenty choice of good freshly cooked food, extra food for packed lunches and plastic bags to put it in along with packets of juice and fruit, cosy rooms, abundance of hot water at all times of the day for showers, beautiful views from the balconies, gardens with tables/chairs/loungers.
I was particularly impressed with the way Klauss, Veronika, Andrea and all the staff went out of their way to let me know which meals had dairy produce in them and the way that they provided me with alternatives - on one occasion even producing 2 crepes suzettes for my dessert!
As another reviewer said, the noise from the railway was minimal - we slept with our window open every night and weren't aware of the railway.
Close to the Hannankahm cable cars and a railway station and 5-10 minutes walk to the town centre to pick up buses in both directions along the valley - ideal for a quiet holiday for all walking abilities.
We'll definitely be back!

like most of the reviews we had a fab time in this hotel, claus and his wife magda run the hotel brilliantly . freindly atmos and trulyy srumpy meals, even got a few new ideas to try at home.

the staff do their very best to cater to your every need, i wasnt very well wen i was there and so the staff at dinner brought me hot water with honey and lemon to try and make me feel better.

at dinner your tables were quite close together but this got eveyone chatting and by the end of the holiday we made some good friends,

i wont go on forever but i just want to reiterate how lovely the staff were, couldnt have asked for anything else best hotel we have stayed in. rooms are basic but the atmos makes up for it ten fold.

plus a stones throw away from town and the gondala

10+

This Hotel is very well situated for the main Gondola with a 3 minute walk along the railway station.
It is a very nice hotel with excellent decor and really friendly staff who all speak very good English. They also offer good advice on the places to go within Kitzbuhl and other areas. Although the room we stayed in was small it was clean and ample for two. Only complaint was shower which although always hot, was not tall enough for my husband.
Food was very good with free coffee and snacks daily from 3.30pm - 6pm. Dinner was from 6.45pm-7.30pm which is maybe a little close to the snack time.
The lounge is lovely and we stayed in for a drink most nights even though the town is only a 5 minute walk away. The town itself is a lovely place with plenty of places for eating and drinking if that is required.
We will return to this resort and hotel.
The ski slopes are excellent with the Horn being the best snow and quieter than the Hahnenkamm area although not as many slopes

We have just returned from a fabulous stay at this hotel. Only three to four minutes walk to the main Gondola The food was great and this family run hotel is one of the best we have every stayed in when skiing. The hospitality shown to us from the owners was second to none, they made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Will definately be returning again.

We stayed at this hotel over Christmas on a skiing holiday. This is a small family run hotel located a 5 minutes walk from the centre of town and the gondola.

This is an excellent hotel. The owners and staff are warm and friendly. A lot of the people staying there were repeat business and are on first name terms with the owners.

The rooms we had, though small, were comfortable with great views of the mountains.

We were staying on a part board basis however they provided much more than that. The breakfast buffet was excellent. They ecouraged us to make a packed lunch from the breakfast buffet. In the afternoons they provided soup and savoury snacks from 3pm. This was very welcome after a days skiing. The dinner in the evenings were tasty and varied. In particular the meal they served on Christmas eve was excellent. On the last night we stayed they also served a memorable meal.

It is a quiet hotel but it is a short walk from the lively bars in the centre of town.

This is a real gem, ideal as a base for skiing or walking.
