This hotel does not dissappoint!. The rooms are great, very big with awsome views. The staff could not be nicer. I don't speak a word of German and they were wonderful. The food is wonderful. Breakfast is full of fresh fruit, meats, cheese and hot wonderful Austrian delights. Dinners were a choice that was perfect for my vegetarian needs and my Boyfriends meat eating desires. As for the Wellness, TO DIE FOR! On the top floor with an amazing infinity pool, 3 saunas and a big steam room. Worth every penny especially if you get the half board price.

Room Tip: 2 sides to the hotel. New more modern, the castle side is more Austrian old world. All the rooms are very spacious

Would not return to this place. Staff are aggressive/unhelpful - clueless at best, rooms need refurbishment, pool is its best asset (large with a good view of the mountains), and dinner quality/service staff was decent. In all other respects, hotel is weak and should not have 5 stars (maybe 3 or 4).

Room. Sheets and pillows are rough, like economy class blankets on a cheap airline. Our room was a junior suite and had practically no wardrobe space, and no luggage racks to keep the bags (what's a luggage rack?!). Asked for a DVD to be brought to room (does not come standard in our room type apparently) and that was an ordeal, took 2 days and begging finally they came up with one which barely worked.

Staff. Generally have NO clue but are aggressive and challenging if you raise any issues.
- asked the time that a ski-rental shop was open, they got it wrong, and as a result we wasted an hour of time with the whole family trekking out to the Hannenkam ski shop only to be told they had closed half hour before
- taxis arranged by the hotel are bad. the van which was scheduled to pick us up at Munich was too small and some of our luggage had to arrive separately. One of the reception staff was pretty rude about this.
- even worse, the taxi which was arranged to take us to the airport from the hotel was dirty and the driver did not know the route, as a result we actually missed our flight home! Yet again, the hotel did not seem too bothered when I raised it with them.

Shuttle to town. Does NOT take you to the actual Hannenkam lift but to a Mcdonalds where you have to walk another 10-15 minutes. The Turkish driver is nice but the others are a bit nasty.

Room Tip: There seem to be newer rooms in the building separate from the main lobby building

We stayed for a week in this hotel and it was nothing short of perfect, the food was great, the rooms were of an excellent standard, the staff couldn't have been more helpful ad the hotel was only a mile from the town centre where there are a myriad of good quality and high brand shops.

Room Tip: 2nd floor rooms are good for access but rooms below at the back have the benefit of a garden space.

My Husband & I spent 2 nights amazing at this hotel in December 2011. (We couldn't afford to stay any longer!)
From the moment we arrived we were treated with the most upper respect.
We had one of the new rooms at the opposite end of the hotel to the reception. The room was very spacious with a cupboard or draw for everything. We managed to fit all of our luggage into the bottom of the wardrobe and we had alot! (2 large suite cases, and 3 small).
The bed was very comfortable, quite firm.
The toilet was separate to the bathroom and had it's own wash basin. The bathroom was lovely, complete with heated floor & towel rack and all the toiletries you'd need (shampoo, soap, shower cap, comb, etc). Separate shower to the bath
We paid for half board which included our breakfast & dinner each day. The food was amazing, dinner was fine dining, with a waiter always at your service. We had 5 course meals including a buffet salad bar. Our waiter Andre put a lot of effort into speaking english to us.
The breakfasts were typical European, the buffet selection was huge, bacon eggs, cheeses, sliced meats, smoked salmon, various breads and pastries, cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruits & juices (beetroot, carrot, grapefruit, apple, orange and my fav berry, they even had champagne!), cakes. It was just amazing!
The facilities are great, there was a library & gym (although they looked like it hardly ever got used), saunas (with naked relaxation area) and the most spectacular pool (indoor) I have ever seen. Located on the top floor (the 7th I think) with 180 degree views down to the town below. It was so magical being able to swim with this view.
There is an on site massage & beauty spa. I had a 20 min back & shoulder massage, although it was expensive, it had to be done! (about 50 or 60 euros)
There was shuttle bus we used to get into town (it left every hour on the hour, from about 9-6 I think). (The hotel is located at the top of a hill, so it would be a big walk home!)
We didn't go skiing (as there was no snow to our disappointment). But I think it would have been difficult and annoying having to catch the shuttle bus down to the town, and then walk to the ski slopes everyday.
The only thing I could fault was that there was a construction site right out side of our balcony which was an eyesight. Although the double glazing on the windows did a good job to keep the sound out.

Room Tip: We stayed in the "new" area of the hotel (the opposite end from the reception). The rooms were beautiful and did look very new. Unfortunately our room looked onto a construction site (North eastern part of hotel, looking south east) however noise wasn't a problem

This is a hotel with fabulous views over the mountains and down to Kitzbuhel especially from the swimming pool on the top floor. The room was spacious and really clean with a covered balcony. Great food and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
