“Loved this place! Can't wait to come back!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2014

Stayed here about 5 days and... it was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were really nice and more importantly clean. If you have the opportunity to take a room with a panoramic view, then DO IT! It's a wonderful view (plus it's just really cool to have a panoramic view in general). The restaurant downstairs (which is, of course, included in the cost) is wonderful, there are some set menus and you can pick between some options, but believe me, it's all delicious! I can happily say the same goes for breakfast, which is a buffet and there's plenty to choose from, include a very good selection of cheeses. If you want the best experience for a hotel for a nice ski resort, this is the place you want to go. It's not cheap, but it's 100% worth it! "You get what you pay for" definitely applies here.

Room Tip: Go for a panoramic view room if you can. You get a great view, and the way the room is designed it...

Great and large mountain view rooms, large bathroom with radio.
Very good breakfast and dinner.

Ski shuttle is a plus it helps a lot and you can save money!

Room price is a little high. Also the restaurant is pricey! (5,6 euro a bottle of water)

Room Tip: Choose a mountain view room!

We've just returned from a fantastic week in Kitzbuhel, having enjoyed a week of sunshine and blue skies while staying in this excellent hotel. My husband and I both walked and skied on alternate days, using the hotel's reliable shuttle bus to the lifts as required but it is only a 15 minute pleasant downhill walk into town. At the end of each day we relaxed in and around the fantastic 47m pool as we watched the sunset over Kitzbuhel and surrounding mountains. Stunning! The hotel staff we courteous, professional and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening meals as well as the extensive breakfast buffet. Our large Lebenberg room overlooked the town and mountains and was extremely well appointed. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a first class hotel, located slightly out of town.

Room Tip: We stayed in a Lebenberg room on the front of the hotel (odd numbers I think) which overlooked the s...

Stayed as family (in two rooms) for week of skiing. Hotel was very nice, menus were excellent for dinner and kids could order their kind of food without any hassle. Wines were good (the red 'legend' at 44euros was nice, bar prices as expected for smart hotel. Buffet was excellent, breakfast surrounded by mountains all very nice, service was attentive and pleasant.
Hotel runs frequent minibuses to and from centre of town, this was nit a problem in any way as the drivers could not have bern more helpful.
Theres a rental shop in the hotel for the big rental chain (est) and they were really helpful, we got everything we needed. Here's the trick though. Take your rental gear (shoes, skiis, poles, helmet) into town the first day along with normal shoes, and on your way up to the bus station/ski school/main lift (theyre all together) youll see a small shop called (something like) ski3000, which has a est rental upstairs. Leave shoes, go ski, come ba c k and leave all your gear. No lugging back to hotel. Staff super friendly. On last day sign it all over there - easy!

Enjoy pool and views, steam rooms lovely but expect the odd eyeful of older austrian men parading their tackle around - its an over 16 area with warnings that nudity is permitted. ...

Short trip in not so snowy Austria found us here. A well organised hotel, efficient staff, fine facilities, ski shop and food choice. A special service at a price. The rooms are very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Like many five star hotels in the traditional style staff can be efficient bordering on the clinical. Two exceptions would be the reception and bar staff who were genuinely attentive. There were many guests who courted influence with auspicious displays of new wealth. Some behavior was a little trying. Prices can be steep but you wouldn't book a hotel like this if you would complain about this aspect. 15 minutes walk into town, good hotel bus services to the main lifts.

I would not usually write reviews but having spent a long while deliberating prior to booking due to some of the negative comments we read on review sites and having just spent a wonderful week at the hotel I feel it deserves an all round positive review.
We found all the staff we encountered friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were excellent, spotlessly clean and spacious. The food was very good with a generally good variety through the week. The breakfasts and salad bars were similar each day, but there was so much to choose from that it did not matter at all.
The pool is stunning and even though we were there for one of the peak weeks it was never too busy.
The hotel is a 10-15 minute very pleasant walk from the centre of Kitzbuhel. We used the shuttle bus at times and never had to wait long (they had 2 buses at peak times) but we often chose to walk and even after a day of skiing it was not too taxing.
An additional bonus was that if you hire ski equipment from the shop in the hotel you are able to leave it securely in a shop near to the main lift in the centre of town so there is no need to carry it back and forth to the hotel each day.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to book it again.

Room Tip: The duplex rooms are excellent for families (twin beds downstairs and double sofa bed upstairs with...

We have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel. All the staff (reception, restaurant, shuttle bus drivers, spa etc) were really friendly & efficient. We had 2 castle rooms which were both very comfortable & traditionally furnished - masses of storage space & bath with shower. The breakfast buffet was vast & we noticed it was very well stocked whatever time we went down. The evening meals were really enjoyable & varied extensively throughout the week. We think the menu is probably based around Austrian cuisine so it was great to try different things too. There was a wine recommendation each night which we followed & every wine was very good. The atmosphere was lovely & there was often live music. The gym had a good range of equipment & was mostly empty (there was a non skier in our family). The pool was a delight with beautiful views over Kitzbuhel - it is about 50m in length so you can swim properly in it. The skiing was very good & we were lucky with the weather. We often walked down to the town in the morning (we stored skis & boots in a locker at the Hahnenkammbahn gondola which worked well) it was a pleasant 10/15 min walk & then used the shuttle bus on the way back later. Being half term there were often quite a few people waiting after a days skiing but with the shuttle bus drivers were really good & came straight back to collect any extra people waiting. I think there were 2 shuttle buses in operation & we never had to wait too long to be collected. In summary we had a very relaxing & enjoyable stay here & would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Kitzbuhel.
