If its value for money you are looking for then this is the place, we have just returned from a weeks skiing, This hotel was perfect, very clean, great staff, the food was basic comapared to other hotels, but these hotels were almost double the price. The breakfast was great, cheese and ham, cereals etc. The evening meal consisted of 2 choices of main, most night there was a soup for starter and a small dessert. The bus stop to the ski area was 200m from the hotel and ran regular, the only thing wasn the last bus home was 7pm, which i guess was ok as you didnt get too carried away with the apres ski allowing you an early night back at the hotel. The reception and lounge area was lovely with an open fire. There was a room to store you ski equiptment although we hired a heated locker in the centre so we didnt have to drag all our equiptment back and forth and this was £35 for the week for 2 people, well worth the money. All in all this was a great holiday, as it was our second ski holiday this year we were on budget and the Hotel Aurach was teh pefect place, I will defineatly be going back

Very clean comfortable hotel. We selected it via Crystal. It is quiet which is great if you want to concentrate on skiing and don't want the apres-ski bar bill to run away. The food was simple but tasty and filling.
The free local ski bus runs about every hour and drops you at the foot of any slopes you want (10 mins to Kitzbuhel). We hired a family ski-locker at Intersport.
Andreas the hotel manager and Karin the waitress were a fantastic help and made our holiday (they put a block on my son running up a bar tab - you won't get that in the town centre!). I don't think Crystal advised the hotel had wi-fi in the lounge - it does.

This is a family run traditional hotel. The manager is very efficient and speaks great English. Its a short walk to the bus stop but a taxi to Kitzbuhel is only 12 euro 1 way and ski lockers for 2 are 7 euro's each so we choose to taxi/use the bus with our gear. Wi fi in the lounge area. Warm clean rooms. We enjoyed all the food and had a choice of 2 meals each day. Buffet breakfast. Log fire. We have stayed in Austria 5 times and really liked Kitzbuhel for ski-ing. The hotel is good value for families and we would go back.

Ignore all negative comments. Rooms are basic but clean and comfy. Hotel staff are extremely welcoming and accommodating. All meals are excellent and you get 3 courses for dinner. Short bus ride to kitzbuhel or jochberg on ski bus takes about 10 mins and all run to schedule. If you need a night out, you will need a taxii which is about 13 euros. All in all an excellent location to stay. Make sure you say hi to Andreas and Karin who are awesome. Having the sauna included is an excellent bonus after a hard day on the slopes.

We have stayed here 3 times as part of Crystal ski package and we love it. It's amazing value for money, with clean and warm rooms and great three course dinners. Kitzbuhel is a fantastic resort and only a 10/15 min ski bus away which is free with the ski pass. The buses run on time and go in and out regularly and you have also the option of heading the opposite way and starting the day in Jochberg/Pass Thurn. You are paying a fraction of the cost of staying in Kitzbuhel itself and if you go at the end of January as we do, you get to see the World Cup Ski racing. You also have many great communal areas, including a comfortable room around a fire and get to meet and make friends with all the other guests. I thoroughly recommend it and the manager Andreas couldn't be more helpful and friendly.

The Aurach hotel is a wonderful hotel, with it's traditional features and log fire place you won't want to leave.

We booked the hotel through Crystal ski as it was very well priced. It stated that the hotel was located 4km from the town centre so we knew that we would be out of the hustle and bustle. This was the only drawback that I could forsee. However this was not a problem at all our Crystal rep was there and he explained the bus timetable and how frequently they ran, he also explained that the last bus from the Hahnenkamm was 5pm although you could get the later bus at 7pm from the main im gries bus station. With this sorted we had no other worries.

The Hotel was beautiful and well looked after with Andreas leading his hospitality masters always looking after you whenever they can. It also has a sauna, ski room and a games room consisting of Table tennis table, darts and a SNES! Old school! Along with the roaring fire we couldn't face dragging ourselves out into the town. Apart from the bar crawl organised by our rep.

My last point is that the Hotel Aurach is Ideally located for the skier/boarder looking for a quiet morning ski. If you leave the hotel and take the ski bus left then you head up to the pass thurn ski area in the morning it's heaven! Everyone in the area is staying in Kitzbuhel so the main lift is busy until 11am however the runs over the far side in Pass Thurn are empty until 10 maybe 11 o'clock. FANTASTIC!

Overall the Hotel was clean comfy cheap and very friendly! and I will be booking again next year!
