I can highly recommend Q! Resort if you are planning to go to Kitzbühel. We spent five nights there in one of their L rooms, with balcony and view towards the river. The room was absolutely beautiful, although it got a bit hot during the night so we had to sleep with the balcony door open. The spa area was relaxing and the garden with the swimming pond great. The staff was confused at times but tried their best to help us. The night we arrived the food was mediocre at best, but the following nights it was very good, although the portions a bit small. The wine list was rather simple, but we enjoyed a good austrian wine our last night. We arrived by train, so the location was perfect! It's just a short walk up to the city center where you easily can rent bikes. I'd recommend you to rent a bike at element3 (close to the Bergbahn), and also to try one of their adventures, such as canyoing. Kitzbühel was great, and I would definitely return to the village and to Q! Resort!

Not too large, not too small this Hotel just fits the bill. Very polite, helpful, personal staff. All are friendly, smiling, welcoming in a very cosy atmosphere. The whole building has a spa feel about it with its scented oils burning unobtrusively and not too strongly.
We had quite the best breakfast I have ever enjoyed. Freshly squeezed fruit juices - a large selection of breads, meats, cheeses, sausages, fish, cereals, joghurts all beautifully presented. A number of chefs on hand ready and pleased to make one an omlette, scrambled or fried eggs. A choice of seating areas either outside on the balcony, inside with a mountain view or even in a restored wooden walled cow shed. Wonderfully romantic.
Fitness room well appointed and the outdoor natural pool ( ie not chlorene ) an oasis of peace in the charming surrounding garden chill out area.
One word of warning - the standard rooms are rather small - especially their bathrooms. The superior rooms don´t cost much more so go for them and you won´t be sorry.
Other reports complained about the vicinity of the railway. This is true but I have to say I didn´t hear any trains the whole weekend we were there. The town centre is also just a short walk away along the river.
This is my favourite stay in Kitzbühel - I will be back.

Had read reviews on this hotel when it was the Astoria, so asked our travel company to book it for the 2 nights we were in Kitzbuhel, then started to read further reviews that said be
cause it was next to the train station it tended to be noisy. This was not the case, it was a good hotel in a good location, about 10 minutes walk into the centre, it was clean and tidy and a good choice of food for breakfast
One small thing to look out for is the furniture, especially the bed, it is made of really thick wood which if you happen to walk in to it or bang yourself does not move - ouch, both my husband and myself banged our knees on a couple of occasions

Me and my wife stayed there only one night in Summer (June). Price and website let you expect something fancy, though that is not delivered. Therefore it is a quite average hotel charging upscale prices and offering lowscale service.

Just some things I would have expected / I'd like to mention:

1) upon arrival nobody helped us nor even offered to help with luggage. Don't get me wrong, I can carry my stuff on my own. But in a hotel that's the category that Q! thinks of it, there should be somebody to take care of you and your luggage.
2) no WIFI on the room - nothing.
3) no minibar in the room.
4) the safe they have was closed and therefore useless, you could not open it. We didn't have time to call for help - I think, they should check that when cleaning the rooms.
5) not even soap in the bathroom - it just was empty...
6) bathroom partly outworn (see photos)
7) no hooks in the bathroom to hang your toilet bag
8) there is free parking on site - even though we somehow (since that was not mentioned anywhere) booked a garage parking space and then had to take and pay it.
9) breakfast itself was great, great variety and choice... if you wanted coffee you had to trace the waiters though, since they didn't ask you too often if you'd like something (once they were there they were very friendly though!)
10) it is located directly opposite the train station - not the best place to relax.

to sum up - it's not a bad place, but it is simply not worth the money they charge, there are definitely better places in Kitzbühel you'd rather go.

This hotel provides clean, simple, modern rooms with ensuites (toiletries and ample towels provided) and usually with a small balcony. The rooms were quite typrical of ski hotels with oak wood and white walls for decor....

Perfect for groups as singles can be booked (having said this the hotel don't have that many single rooms so you might even get a double at the price of a single!) and also there is a great hotel bar serving simple food (pasta/ chips/ burgers) and drinks by the fire until late!

It's a short walk in to the centre of Kitzbuehel where there are bars (apres ski), restaurants and ski hire shops (ask the reception at the hotel on where to go- i think you get a discount plus the ski hire shop will drop off and take away your skis after ordering). You can also ski from Kitzbuehel or get a taxi to one of the nearby lifts- again speak to reception for advice on taxis and cost as they like to make it up as they go along. Further there looked to be a shuttle bus to skiing and also a train station opposite the hotel- neither of which i used but looked like popular options in the area!

We stayed at Q! Resort Kitzbuhel in March for a work-related ski trip.

The hotel itself was lovely - everything was very clean, modern alpine decor, and very cozy. The rooms were very nice, immaculate, and well-appointed. The beds were incredibly comfortable after a long day on the slopes!

The staff were very accomodating and happy to make dinner reservations, etc for us. Also very accomodating upon check out, storing our baggage and allowing us to use the communal showers in the gym (after skiing all day) before leaving to catch our flight. Very impressed with the staff!

We chose not to have our meals included, though the breakfast each morning was very nice with a wide selection of cereals, fruits, pastries/breads, a juicing machine, some hot foods, and a dedicated chef to make omelettes and eggs and way you'd like.

The location was great. Just far enough out of the centre of town to be peaceful and quiet, but close enough to walk in (10-15 minutes max) even with our ski/snowboarding gear. Nice view of the mountains from our balcony as well.

Only *slight* complaint - single travelers in our group paid EUR 360 for two nights, while those in triple rooms (of the same size) paid EUR 270 for two nights. Not terrible value, but the disparity between single and triple rooms seemed a bit off!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Q! and would recommend. Would be happy to stay again.

Room Tip: Stay on the newly refurbished side if possible. Was lovely.

Q-resort is a pleasant place, the new refurbishment means it is just about a cut above a normal b&b. The location is very good for those arriving by train, as it is next to the audible station, but it's a trek into downtown Kitz itself. The lack of flexible dining options is a bit annoying for those who prefer to be vaguely spontaneous, as one has to book half-board in advance, or eat elsewhere in the evenings. The rooms are roomy enough and were mostly clean, also the breakfast is good. While the manager was rather unfriendly, the staff was friendly and helpful, some with excellent English. The spa in the basement is surprisingly large and good, offering massages, steam room, saunas and a delightful chill-out area in an oriental theme. It's competitively-priced for an expensive ski resort, but with the disadvantage of city-limits location and inflexible dining.

Room Tip: The location means a balcony room is not worth the extra. Get a room at the back, so the train stati...
