Stayed here in June 2014, from the moment we arrived the staff were very helpful the front, kitchen, chamber maids, waitresses, bar staff.
The breakfast was out of this world all fresh and so much to choose from. The evening meals 4 – 5 courses and with a choice of 2 or 3 main course.
The bedroom was very comfortable, bright, very clean and very spacious, flat screen TV on wall. The bed was a double with 2 separate mattress, sheets were changed every 3 – 4 days. The bathroom was very nice with plenty of room had bath and over shower big wall mirror. Lovely fresh towels.
We had complimentary bottle of still and sparking water every day
One of the best hotel I have stayed in, in Austria, I would highly recommend this hotel

The rooms were very nice! We had a balcony outside our room that allowed fresh mountain air. It was located well enough close the the hahnenkamm cable cars. However, it was right at the end of the Main Street. But the Main Street was close by and provided a nice atmosphere to walk and take pictures.

The reception was nice and helpful!

We went to this hotel with high expectations due to the reviews by previous guests and it totally lived up to all of them. It is right next to the Hahnenkamm lift and offered lovely views along the valley from our balcony. Rooms come with robes and slippers, which may not seem much but do mean you can wander down to the pool or wellness area without the bother of carrying clothing etc . A walk in wardrobe was also an unlooked for treat. Bathroom was large and water pressure for the shower was good, all small things which add up to a comfortable stay.

The staff are all very professional but by no means unfriendly in fact quite the opposite. Here I must single out Humberto in the restaurant, ( I will always remember no sauvignon blanc with salmon) We did have a few problems with new staff getting a bit confused with our wine purchases at dinner but it was all resolved and they apologised with a glass of prosecco.

At breakfast you can be spoiled with a freshly prepared omelette or eggs fried to your liking in addition to the extensive buffet. Dinner is very much to be looked forward to. The menu was not chose in the morning for the evening but chose at dinner and all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Well done chef.

I was told by fellow guests that rooms facing the road can experience some traffic noise ours faced the lift and we had no such problem.

English newspapers were freely available each day if you wanted to keep up with the news, however we could not watch the tennis on BBC as all of Austria had a satellite problem.

We would definitely recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: rooms on the road side may be noisy if you can face the cable cars

We stayed here for 1 week on a family holiday and had a great time. The hotel is amazing, so clean and the staff were all fantastic. There's plenty of food and all of fantastic quality. Theres a nice outside sitting area which catches the sun and the staff come out and make sure you've got everything you want. There are a few sun loungers around as well. The indoor pool is great as is the spa area. Rooms are cleaned daily, you are given a robe and slippers in your room also. There is a gym which is well equppied, small but we seemed to be the only ones using it! There is also free wifi throughout the whole hotel. I would 100% recommend this hotel and would definitely go back!!

First of all I appologize for my delayed reply. It was very nice to hear, that you and your family had a comfortable stay at the KAISERHOF. Nice, that you also mentioned our small but well equipped fitness room. I always enjoy the view to the Kitzbüheler Horn from the treadmill :-)
Have a great and sunny fall and hopefully see you again...Best regards from Kitzbühel, Sonja

After reading other reviews and booking our holiday on the strength of them, we were so pleased that the Kaiserhof lived up to its reputation. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant. The rooms are cleaned daily, and are well presented, nice to have clean towels daily. Very comfy beds.
The standard of food in the restaurant was excellent, the variety was superb with something for everyone. With a special mention to Andrea, Natasha and Humberto who made us feel especially welcome.
The only downside was the fact that we had to pull our suitcases up from the cable car car park, which was a little way up a steep hill. It was ok for myself and my husband, but rather more difficult for my mother in law and aunt who are both in their seventies. Maybe Thomsons could address this minor issue.

This was our first visit to Kitzbuhel and this hotel, we travelled by car. On reaching reception everything went OK and they spoke english but I was not asked if I wanted help with my suitcases or if I needed help finding the underground garage, this was a poor start on what turned out to be a fantastic stay.
The breakfast is fantastic and I like the idea of a chef cooking your egg as you like it and chatting with him/her.
Dinner is as good as breakfast and superbly presented. All the staff seem to speak english and are enjoyable to talk to and very helpful. its just a short walk into the centre of Kitzbuhel.
We liked this hotel and hope to return

In line with most other reviews we were very impressed with the overall standards at this hotel. We had stayed here when it was the Montana in the early 80's so the changes were significant.
The hotel is well situated for the Hahnenkamm cable car and railway station, and is only a 5 minute stroll to the centre of the town. There is a high standard maintained throughout, everything is spotlessly clean and all the staff members go out of their way to make sure all is well. The restaurant provides excellent menu options and they catered for my wife's dietary requirements faultlessly. Our room was comfortable, well appointed and reasonably spacious - but here's the catch. We booked with Thomsons and paid for a large room and thought nothing more of it until speaking with another guest on the way back who did the same and had a significantly larger room with a better view. (Our room overlooked the road which becomes quite busy and noisy at first light and had a sunless NW facing balcony.) Thomsons don't say what room (by name) you get when you book, unlike Inghams for example which give you the room names to correlate with the hotel's own website, i.e. you can see explicitly what you are getting. (Incidentally Ingham's guests were getting 3 excursions for the price of 2 as well!) On returning home and checking the hotel's website we see that our room (Wilder Kaiser) was smaller than the standard Rettenstein room. So on the face of it it seems we paid more and got little for it except early morning noise. We'd have been none the wiser without speaking to other Thomson guests - unfortunately too late. That said - we enjoyed our stay there.

One other tip - if there's 2 -5 of you and want to visit Salzburg or anywhere else by rail rather than pay the excursion fees buy an Einfach Raus group ticket for the train and you can all go anywhere on the OBB rail network from 09.00 until 03.00 the next day for 35 Euro.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms on the road side - noisy from early morning with goods and construction traffic.
