“Perfect for us ”
Reviewed 13 July 2014 via mobile

We were greeted by Denise and check in was so smooth, we were offered a map and help with directions- always great when arriving in a new city! The old fashioned elevator is just such a nice feature in the hotel. We felt like we were staying I'm a huge house which was nice and felt homely. Was very clean and had a huge bed. It had the usual tho single mattresses pushed together but because it was in a bed frame it wasn't an issue. Had such. Good night's sleep here. Would definetly reccommend- you can walk into the town from here is 5-10 minutes. Highly reccommend going to the palace and gardens in Vienna, just stunning.

I spent almost nothing for a nice and clean room (50 euro per night).
The only complain is the girl at the entrance during the day. She should learn to be more polite!
The night guys were perfect.
I didn't take the breakfast and I didn't use the restaurant.
My room was facing the internal courtyard.

I have to write something about attitude of the hotel staff. If you do anything wrong even by mistake and it's not your fault. The hotel will charge you anyway. Because hotel personal is trained and that's why everything was handled correctly from their side. But if you do something wrong. Don't you dare! Hotel doesn't put customers first. So there is some recommendation: The hotel that puts its visitors first, whose sole purpose is to serve them, will surely win.

This was the first hotel on a 17 day trip through Europe & we could not have been more pleased. We had 3 beds in our room, although we only needed two. The breakfast buffet and dining room were great. The staff was super helpful and Denise is a real treasure. A short walk to the tram line which gets one to the city center quickly. All in all, we could not have been more pleased.

Room Tip: Our room looked over a back garden and had a small balcony with chairs.

As last minute choice this was ok.
Very helpfull Staff (Thanks Denise).
Very good breakfast (still miss the espresso).
Free 100% fast WiFi.

We needed beds, balkonny to smoke, breakfast and a shower and that's what we got on the "innergarden side" of the building.
Everyting was very clean.
Ok the decoration on the walls looks old but is not, Nostalgy it is.

Room Tip: Ask for balkonny, then you are not on the street side.

1.This is supposed to be bed and breakfast hotel - but is not clearly communicated that way.
2. While the breakfast is beautiful - the bed part is awful.
3. The bathroom is funny, very small and difficult to use.
4. The electric points are non-existent or awkwardly placed.
5. Housekeeping needs to be improved.
6. The feel in the hotel is that of an old - dilapidated hotel
7. The most redeeming feature (other than breakfast) is the receptionists who are very warm, prompt, helpful - speak excellent English

We stayed at the Baronesse from Nov. 28th to Dec.2, two couples (late 20s), on a budget.
Let me begin with the fact that I booked this hotel months ago, when the rating was above 80%, and whenever I returned to TripAdvisor the rating seemed to drop, which made we worried.
I had NOTHING to worry about.
I don't know what the people who complain about it were expecting at this price range, the pictures show what the old-styled bedrooms look like. My room was far from dirty, the service was impeccable – the staff is amazingly helpful and nice, we bombarded them with questions and requests for recommendations, and they were always patient and kind.
The rooms are huge and well heated, the beds are comfortable. Yes, there is some wear and tear, and the walls are somewhat thin, but we were facing the street and were not awakened by noise at any point, and this is really the hotel's only fault.
The location is great, close to a tram line that arrives every few minutes and takes you to a main tram/subway station.
There are several bakeries and a lovely coffee shop across the street (we didn't have breakfast at the hotel so I cannot attest to its quality).
In summation, we had a lovely stay. I think that you usually get what pay for, and in my opinion we got above and beyond.
I whole-heartedly recommend the Hotel-Pension Beronesse.
