“One of best hotel in Vienna”
Reviewed 18 May 2012

I stayed here for two night and find here as one of best hotel I have ever been there. The hotel was located in a very good area of Vienna with good access to shopping center and public transport. Location is not near ring strasse and shopping centers are not similar to Maria strasse , but Vienna is not only that place. You have good access to city center with line 43 tram do not make a mistake 43 is not subway! If you come here by train go to Hernald strasse stop then get that tram after 2 stops you can find the senator hotel.
After reaching there, we find very kind polite girl in reception, give us our room key with internet password and the internet was free. Then we went to our room was very clean, beautiful, and modern. But unfortunately, there was not any refrigerator or minibar in there.
Tomorrow, we went for breakfast and found it perfect and very delicious.
In a nutshell, my experience in this hotel was memorable and I recommend it to other tourists.

Just got back from a wonderful week-long vacation at Vienna.
Hotel was fantastic, a great location: Quiet neighborhood, especially at night. Easy and Fast tram to city center (the 43 line to Shottentor-Universitat, about 10-15min ride, and a tram every 5 mins up to midnight). To the airport it's just a tiny bit more problematic, since the no.9 tram to Westbanhof takes quite a while during rush-hour, so it's about 20+ minutes, and then a 45-60 mins bus ride to the airport, that leaves at every half hour.
The tram stations themselves are less than 100m from the hotel, so it's extremely easy to get to.
Around the hotel are 2 supermarkets, with an additional (and better) one a 3 minute walk on the street. A pharmacy is located about 2 doors away, staff is very pleasant and speaks English. There are quite a few pubs and some cafes on the nearby streets, so feel free to pop by for a 2.80Euro Frankfurter... Also near the tram station is an excellent sandwich place, part of a chain called "Der Mann... something", they also have great pastries and caffe. for 9.50Euro you can get a decent launch plus dessert for two, carry it to a nice quiet lush park and eat in peace right at the city center amidst the beautiful buildings and not have to worry about finding a quiet and non-touristy restaurant.
Along the 43 tram route are many places to shop and eat, you can easily just hop off on the way back to the hotel and grab something, then hop on back. We bought very good polarized sunglasses at just 58Euros, whereby anything at the city center costs over double that.

As far as the hotel itself:
Service was great, mostly everybody speaks English and very friendly. We even got an early check-in by 3 hours since they saw we were tired from an all-night flight!!
They helped us order a Pizza right to our room when we didn't feel like going out to eat.
Breakfast was lovely - i'm happy as long as there are nice fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, and a selection of fresh bread, which there are plenty of and in high quality. Also a somewhat limited but constantly refreshed selection of cheeses and cold meats. The only hot dish was scrambled eggs, which is fine by me, but don't expect fried sausages and bacon. Oh, and some great sweet yoghurts to go along with cereals or croissants. Also some cake, tea, fruits, caffe etc...
Room was quiet, clean and organized, more spacious than I expected. Bathroom facilities were spotless and new. TV shows mostly German channels, with some news in English. Was able to connect my tablet via HDMI to watch some movies, but had to get a 90 Degree adapter since it sits nearly flush to the wall and there's no room for a normal straight plug in the back.
Air-conditioner worked fine, the windows only open a tiny bit at the top.
Mattress was a bit too soft for my liking.
Wifi isn't free which is a shame. only 2 Macs in the lobby which are free but usually occupied...
Good safe in the room. No Mini-bar.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Tiny nitpicking while all of the important stuff was excellent!!

This hotel is pretty good, with decent-sized bedrooms and showers with easy controls, but the mattresses are far too soft and worn-out. Breakfast was typical Continental with poor scrambled eggs as the only hot dish, but the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

However, it's situation is awkward; we had a long and difficult journey from the airport by local transport (not helped by poor advice at the tourist information office there) and it's 20 mins by nearby tram 43 from the outskirts of the city centre, though there's a good interchange at the terminus (by the Votivkirche).

At first everything was great, nice reception, clean rooms, plenty food served for breakfast..
We had some problems with the breakfast lounge, cose the hotel was pretty crowded, and there weren't enough tables.. or some of them were reserved.. yea, RESERVED!!! even if the hotel only served breakfast for the hotel guests.. and you just stayed there on your feet, with your food on the dishes and waited to clear some table.. nice, right !?!
After this problem, we had some incident on the street with a friend of mine, she wanted to take a picture with a person who was disguise in Mozart, and soled tickets for opera, but we were asked if we want to by ones, and when we answered no, we received insults from this person, telling us to go back in the countries we have come.. "what a lovely wienn"!!!
The only turist attraction that I liked were Karl's Church, Schmetterlinghaus, Technical Museum, Zoo and the Historical Museum...
I'm done with wienn, I will never go again!!

I stayed in this hotel for three nights with a family member. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We paid a bit extra in order to have the breakfast buffet. It was pretty good with a varied selection and only lacking in hot food. The hotel is located within the city limits, but you have to get the tram and metro in order to get to any of the main sightseeing areas (about 30 minutes total). However, the tram stop is just a few yards walk from the hotel. My only criticisms would be that you have to pay extra for wi-fi access and one day our room was not cleaned. Apart from this I would definitely recommend the hotel if you are looking for reasonably priced journey and don't mind using public transport to get to the main part of the city.

We stayed here for 3 niights and found the whole experience fantastic. We managed to get a great deal through Hotels.com so 3 nights only cost us about £140- amazing considering that a great buffet breakfast was included. the rooms were clean, modern, new, fresh & everything worked fine. The reception was helpful & polite. I found the whole place faultless.
The 43 tram stops right outside and there are Metro lines very close. The Lidl supermarket can supply any shopping/drink requirements you may have.
Much much better than many 5* hotels I have stayed in & paid 3x more.Do ask for a room at the back as apparently the rooms facing the road are noisy. We were next to the lift but heard nothing as the rooms are more or less sound proof. I can't recommend this one highly enough!

Room Tip: They all seemed fine ,but we asked for a qwuiet room at the back & got it.I'm sure they woul...

The hotel in itself was very nice. The rooms were stylishly furnished, the neighborhood isn't too noisy after about 10PM, and the people at the front desk were very kind and patient with us since my father and I only speak a smattering of German. The only downside to this hotel is that wi-fi isn't free.

Now, I can understand why the wi-fi is a secured network--you're in a major city with tons of businesses and apartment buildings in the area that could use your wi-fi against your wishes. However, you would *think* for such a popular hotel that their wi-fi would be free, right? Not at all. Last I checked, you pay 3 Euro for one hour, 6 for 3 hours, and they have 24-hour and 72-hour rates, as well. The timing is also not based off of how long you use it--it's based off of when you sign in and will run out 1/3/24/72 hour(s) after you do so.

The other kicker is that the wi-fi is in no way faster or better than the two Mac computers provided in the lobby. There is no time limit set at the computers in the lobby, either, so if you get in line behind some computer-savvy tweens desperate to check Facebook for umpteen amounts of time, you could be waiting for hours. So the better alternative is to pay for wi-fi and use it to avoid the line, correct? ABSOLUTELY WRONG. All other hotels that I've been in while staying in Europe have very fast wi-fi connections. HS's was abysmal. I'm sorry, but it really shouldn't take upwards of an hour to load a 10-minute video on YouTube, and my e-mail shouldn't be having errors loading my e-mails due to how slow the network is. Those things don't require THAT much bandwidth.

Also, the air conditioner system was VERY confusing, and we could not get it to work. My father and I resigned to sleep with the windows open, which got noisy since our room faced the main street.

Regardless of my rant, this hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the employees are very nice. If internet connection isn't that big a deal for you, this is definitely the place you should stay. Otherwise, find somewhere else around town.

Room Tip: Try to get a room not facing the main streets. Depending on when you want to sleep, they could get...
