Rooms;are spacious and modern furnished. But bad was not comfortable the gave us extra mattress and pillows after begging them. Then, it was ok.
Breakfast:excellent but there was no sausage
location:it's near center Mariahlfer can be reached easily and everything so easy by public transport but the atmosphere isn't good full of sex shops yes no harm but it looks bad.I don't know how is is in an area full of hotels. This street is well known of these shops and bars.
Stuff; Most of them really nice and helpful(especially Mona and Alexander :) :)
I didn't like:no porter to hold for me the bags also no air conditions.U can only get a tiny fan that is in the size of a water bottle. If there was only some bigger fans.IN August it was really hot. Also i m from a country that is considered to be a hot one.
Also no fridge in the room or even a common one.
Although i booked hotel room it was something between hostel and hotel.no such a big difference.

Room Tip: rooms are nise easpecailly if you have to open the windows in summer. So I believe some were not nois...

We've been in this hotel just for 3 nights. A very good breakfast made up for the small and uncomfortable room.

Beware that the hostel and so called hotel share the same building, reception, breakfast place and bad smell.
Even we thought we booked a hotel room, it was something between hostel and hotel.
The room was very narrow with a very small window, very claustrophobic. We had four beds but two of the were bunk beds. The shower and toilet were separate but very very tiny.

It was clean, with clean sheets and towels but there were footprints on the walls.

The reception was all the time overcrowded, and only one person at the time. I stayed more then 30 minutes just to ask a question. Not her fault, but a big lack of personal.
It was cheap, i admit that but i stayed in better place with same money.

Connection to downtown very easy, the metro is just across the street. Also a mall and a supermarket on the corner.

The location is good, but i didn't like the room and condition at all, I felt like in prison in the room. I will not coming back again.

I stayed four nights in the hotel portion of the A&O City Stadthalle in February 2011 for what came out to be about $45 per night, and the place exceeded expectations. Yes, the room was basic, but the basics were all I needed, and I was comfortable. I had a window that looked out on a large open courtyard towards the street and the bathroom was well equipped including a superb shower.

This was obviously not the Hotel Sacher, but all the staff —including a couple of trainees— spoke English and were friendly. There was decent internet access and inexpensive long-distance phone service in an area just behind the reception. Breakfast —of which I partook once— was copious and reasonably priced.

Yes, there were at times interminable waits for attention from the staff —who were engaged in what I would call educating inexperienced, unprepared travelers or dealing with their problems— but this was not really an issue. Although this was my first time in town, I really needed no help from anyone, other than locating the nearest post office.

The location was a plus : just north —a short ride on the metro— of the Wien Westbahnhof, where I arrived by train from Munich and from which I departed for the airport. Likewise, the facility was a short bus ride from the historic center of Vienna.

Overall, I could have paid a lot more in Vienna, but I could not have found a better value.

I booked a single room via internet for 35 E per night. the young lady at the reception had no idea about the check in so there were always people standing and waiting. i had to wait two hours as the check in is after 3pm! I was traveling with a lot of bags, so i struggled to climb the chairs to the elevator - how clever!! after a long walking distance i finally reached my "room". as i opened the door there was a strong smell of urine!! i almost had to vomit and rushed to open the window. the room mas maximum 7sq meters. the location is directly on a big traffic street
on the same day i canceled my booking.

The hotel is very basic, but clean and reasonably quiet considering it is half hotel, half hostel and there are a lot of young people staying there. The rooms are small, but adequate, and we stayed during early December with snow, ice and very low temperatures outside, it was warm and cozy in the rooms and communal areas. My room had windows which did not open easily but I really didn't want to open them for long anyway because of the cold! The bed could have been more comfortable, but that said, I slept through the night without any problem. The bathroom was clean and the shower hot throughout the day. For a two-star, I was amazed that the bedding and towels were changed every day (we stayed two days). The breakfast was great for just 4 euros and I would defy anyone to get as much for so little in Vienna! I would stay there again if, like this trip, I needed somewhere economical that was reasonably central - the young staff were very helpful and all spoke good English, which helped a lot
