It is well located --in Vienna’s inner ring--, 10 minutes walking to city’s cathedral and with stops of the trams 1 and 2 in front of the hotel and a subway station also very close. It has clean and modern rooms with fully-equipped kitchens in case you wanna cook (we only used it for breakfasts). There’s also a Billa supermarket close-by. Check the cleaning policy of the apartment before you book, since depending on the numbers of nights you stay you will get daily cleaning or not. The only thing I don't like about the Adagio (and this is also true for the other hotels of this brand) is that they charge your credit card at the check-in (the final charge, not a guarantee of payment), which to me is unacceptable since your're paying for a service that have not received yet.

Recently stayed here on our trip to venice. Dont rely on website photos as the reality is very different! Rooms are very small, no fold up bed and lounge in ours. Someone else on our floor complained about the small space and was rudely told that all rooms are the same- not according to the website! Rooms were functional but small. If u stayed more than 3 days your room wasnt cleaned. This was obvious- rooms were shabby and not fully cleaned on arrival. Hotel was full of very large families who seemed to be crammed into 1 bed rooms. The family next door to us allowed their children to use the corridors as a playground until the early hours of the morning- disturbing us for 4 days/nights which neither the parents or hotel were concerned about. Hotel regs state they r not responsible for items in your room, however i witnessed the receptionist creating a brand new key card for a guest who walked in off the street. She was wearing a full hijab andwas not identifiable. Despite this no security questions were asked and a new card issued despite the fact u needed a card to work the lift so how had she gotten down the 6 flights initially? Please do not takevthis as a racial comment am merely pointing out that an unidentifiable person was given a room card with no questions asked. This hotel was ok but i feel there are a lot of points for improvement particularly in security, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

I would like to apologize for the circumstances you described with the children on your floor.
We appreciate your sharing your concerns about safety and the key cards. We assure that, as in fact the receptionist should have known the guest, this incident is not our usual procedure.

I recommend this hotel it is wonderful . Book on Booking.com
BUT the preferred taxi driver to the airport eyed my fifty euro note and proclaimed "I do not have any change ". It was obvious he wanted the whole fifty euros . So the preferred taxi driver did not realise that I was not into this game and asked my partener to wait till I went and purchased a coffee and got his 40 Euro which is actually a fixed charge .Shame that this mans antics have paled a great experience .I would have tipped the guy and most likely given him 45 Euro .Please note that if I was alone and did the same thing he would have called the police and said I was a fare evader .

Room Tip: two items went missing and phone your own cab , the taxi driver with the big black taxi wants all the money he can and clearly states he has no change .His actual behaviour was offensive .

My wife and i stayed a week in this hotel and enjoyed it very much. It is allmost in the centre of Vienna and close to everything. There is a tram stop right outside the hotel and the nearest subway station is 2 min walk away. Public transport in Vienna works very well and is cheap so really, dont bother using your car. There are lots of restaurants near the hotel and a food store right around the corner. The room we had was small but adequate. There was a small kitchen/entrance, bedroom and a very good bathroom. For some reason though there was only one chair to the table. The kitchen is adequate for small meals or breakfast. there is a refrigerator, a microwave and two cookingplates but there is a timer mechanism (on the cooking plates) that has to be wound up every 15 min. Good safety mechanism though.
The room was well cleaned and staff was very helpfull. One thing: make sure you get a room facing out to the street, we had a lovely wiew but some rooms are on the backside off the hotel. There is a lot of street noise but the windows are tight and dampens the noise and the aircon works, -when you set it correct.
All in all i can fully reccomend this hotel as a base for exploring Vienna.

Room Tip: Get a room high up and facing the street.

Everything outside the rooms are almost perfect - the location (walking distance from tram and train stations), the staff, etc.

However, my room had some issues, including clogged sinks and baths (resulting in water overflowing into the room), a shower that sprayed hot and cold water even though it was initially adjusted to the right temperature, etc. There is also no cleaning service (I stayed for 5 nights). It is a little strange that guests who stay for shorter periods enjoy that. Perhaps a 5-night stay should be made through 2 separate bookings (3+2)?

Overall, the hotel was a very convenient, and staff are nice and helpful. But it is unfortunate that the room experience was less than ideal.
