“Oldest zoo in Europe”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

Although the Schönbrunn Zoo is historically the oldest in Europe, it has been modernized over the years so that the animals have large areas to roam in. The icebears have a brand new enclosure. Last year the third Panda Baby bear was born, one of the very few who were born outside of China. The zoo is famous for its breeding successes of variant species, so you stand a good chance to see quite a lot of animal babies and youngsters. the area is very tidy and lovely to walk through. There are also a children´s playground and a pets corner as well as some ponies to ride on.
And as a Bonus you can visit the Palace of Schönbrunn and its lovely park too, which are adjacent to the zoo.

“Beautiful Zoo”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 June 2014

The zoo is large and spread out. The range of animals is great and they all have plenty of space to roam around. The enclosures are beautiful and they even have some of the original cages around the property. I would suggest spending the day as there is a nice little cafe for food. We went in the spring so we were lucky to see a lot of babies!

“The zoo to visit!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

This has to be one of the best zoos I've been to and I've visited quite a few throughout my travels.
You can easily spend a whole day there as there's so many animals to see and just sit and enjoy your surroundings. I have to confess I love pandas so it was the main reason for my visit but I was so pleased that I went because all of the animals are special and well cared for.
Please visit as you definitely won't regret it.

“oldest and most beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

Tiergarten Schoenbrunn is the oldest zoo in the world, which is what gives it a unique charm unlike any other Zoo in the world. The range of animals is fantastic, from seals to lions and even Pandas. It makes for a lovely day out and is easily accessible as it is a part of the Schloss Schoenbrunn gardens. The best part about the zoo are the heritage buildings and the enclosures, they are so stunning and make for fantastic photos. Not as good as Berlin Zoo but definitely the most beautiful zoo I have seen, which definitely makes it worth a visit in Vienna.

“Excellent Zoo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 May 2014

An excellent zoo, with pandas(including a baby!). polar bears and koalas our favourites. Our 15 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Entrance prices are reasonable(discount with the Vienna card), and the zoo has plenty pleasant eateries and snack kiosks too. Well worth a visit for all ages, (flat terrain.)
