“Enchanting Vienna”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

We visited Vienna During Christmas 2013, and although it was packed with tourists, it was still manageable even with two strollers.

I was captivated by the historical buildings and attractions especially in the old town. Our hotel was situated very close to the center and although we arrived by car we still ventured around by foot.

I was a little bit let down by the service though especially in one restaurants Wienerwald where the waiters frowned at us as soon as we entered the restaurant because of the two strollers. Not did they frown but they did not even help us when entering the restaurant so we just walked out.

“Ghost town”
Reviewed 31 December 2013

It was so quiet. After trips to London Paris and NY, Vienna was like a ghost town. The baroque-style buildings just added to that feel. After 10pm the town seems desterted.

“A living, breathing slice of history”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

This area is dense with art, culture, history and emotion. You can feel it all: the imperial pride, the terror of the plague, the exuberance of revolution, it's all here, in the gilt of the monuments, the grandeur of the buildings, the solidity of the beautiful cathedral, all overlaid with the bustle of today. Smaller, more compact and walkable and safer than Paris or London - this is THE European capital to visit and to love.

“Christmas in Vienna”
Reviewed 30 December 2013

Excellent Christmas decorations (yellow crowns, big red balls, bells and chandeliers) in all central streets of historic center of Vienna made our time there unforgetable. Beautiful buildings -the Palace, the Parliament, the Opera, Music Verein, etc-carefully lightened were adorable day and night.
