If you are travelling with five always you look for bigger rooms.Luggages extra beds.We hired two rooms in this hotel.there is a construction on the first floor. You can see the workers around the hall all the time.Rooms are big but anything you touch be careful, can break in your hand.Rooms are smelly, bed sheets and towels are the worst quality. For five nights we paid 1640 euros. We hated wien because of this hotel. We would never come back.

The front desk had Very helpful staff , helped us look up places to visit , how to get there by public transport & also where to dine !
The elevators are small & slow but you are staying in a lovely apartment right next to the Opera house , it wasnt really an issue with us .

If you are looking for a lot of space, a kitchen for kick meals, this is your place. We got an one bedroom apartment that was simply huge, there was even a 4 seats table in the kitchen.
The first impression was that the apartment was a bit weird as the toilet is separated fromthe rest of the bathroom, and it is pretty far, inside the bedroom, but apart from that all is nice and spacious.
Our room was facing both streets, some sort of corner, and it was not that noisy, you could hear the louder noises like ambulances and police cars, but most of the time it did not disturb our sleep.
The elevator is pretty small, so we haf to take turns or use the stairs, but this was not an issue, it is an old building and it had some charm to add to the stay.
Check in and check out were fast and good, the frontdesk person was a bit shy, but very polite and nice.
I definitly recommend it and will stay again if I come back to Vienna. Location is also a plus, 50m from the metro exit, in front of the Opera and walking distance from every important site.

The apartment itself and the location were fantastic. I cannot complain. However, our experience wasn't all that good. They were doing some kind of construction work in the building and they started early. I mean really early. At 6am, I started hearing people, @ 7am they started hammering (right above our heads) and by 8am, real drilling begins. We were jet lagged and really tired from touring all day. What we wanted in a hotel/apartment was good night sleep more than anything. For our 5 day stay, we had very poor sleep. Also, those construction workers smoked all the time. Our apartment and especially the bathroom was full of smoke, so non-smoking policy didn't make all that much difference. We made complaints to the front desk and the person merely said it's normal and I should just accept it.

We stayed in Vienna for a week and chosen Derag because of its proximity to Opera and Kartnerstrasse. This apart-hotel is as described - spacious studio with bedroom zone, living zone and kitchenette with dishwasher. Cleaning is done daily and I did not have any complaints about quality of cleaining.
Location is also excellent with easy access to U-bahn, S-Bahn and taxis. Address is easy to explain to taxi drivers - just tell them Karlsplatz or Opera.
There is a big Spar Supermarket across the street, so it was easy to buy food we needed. Wifi internet is free. There is a filter drip coffeemaker- which is a pleasant surprise.
Front office is very courteous and nice. They speak very good English so it is easy to communicate. Overall, very good value for money and feels like a home and not a hotel.

Great apartment in a fantastic location. Very clean and spacious. Lots of little extras not normally associated with self catering apartments - beer and water in the fridge, 24 hour service desk, cleaning service, shower gel etc etc. Spoilt a bit by the pneumatic drill on the building site next door starting at 7.50am
