First a warning to 'Groupon' users - Beware that you are obliged to buy dinner and breakfast here at a rate of 30 and 10 Euros per person whether you eat it or not.
Location - Waaaay out there in the sticks. A good 20-minute train ride and another 20 minutes walk from the centre of Vienna.
Situated in a quiet residential area with plenty of free parking should you require it.
Round and about - A restaurant/beer stube next door, another on the corner and a restaurant across the street plus a wine Keller not far away so plenty of choices for local eating and drinking.
Building - Appears to be an old coaching Inn. The main entrance is certainly large enough to take a mail coach and sadly this is where you get you first impression of the place. I say this because it smells of stale cooking as the kitchen for the restaurant vents directly into it.
Rooms - We stayed in a kind of annex, which was comfortable and warm and was very clean and well kept. The bathroom was a good size for the size of the room. There were tea and coffee facilities, a TV and music system. There were however, quite a few ants crawling around the floor. They did not bother us but some might not like them. I could not see where they were coming from and was amazed to see them in winter with temperatures well below freezing.
Breakfast - Is taken in the main hotel building and was fresh and plentiful comprising of continental style fayre.
(I have reviewed the hotel restaurant separately)
Conclusions - A nice enough place but just too far out to be practical.
