“Highly Enjoyable - Lovely Staff”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

I am an enthusiastic fan of Freud's work, so this was really a treat for me. The free audio guide was very interesting and even contained the only recorded radio interview with Freud himself. If you already know a bit about Freud's writings, you will definitely enjoy this small and unique museum. The staff were lovely, and the small size of the exhibit means it is not overwhelming (something I value in a museum).

“Affordable, quite interesting”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Based in Freud's Vienna apartment where he lived and worked. You can see the patient waiting room, the examination room, and his study. Quite a small museum but a lot of information is given on the free audio guide about Freud's life and there are lots of pictures and memorabilia, although most stuff isn't original or in the original place. Not much info about his ideas or theories though which was unexpected. You can easily spend an hour or so here.

“Freud's Vienna Apartment/Museum”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

This museum was once Freud's Vienna home. It has a great sense of history because he once lived there. Among other things you can see the patient waiting room, his chair, his writing desk, one of "the couches" and other Freud memoabilia, books, photos and the like. Most of the items are not in their original location and have been staged for display purposes, still the sense of history is palpable.

The museum is small and informal, the auido guide is very useful.

“Freud, you slippin!”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Just for context, my wife and I are in our early 30s and are somewhat well-traveled.

Pretty boring, man. It's Freud's old apartment. They put some pictures on the wall and give you an audio guide. You look at the stuff and listen. I think there are 5 rooms. You can definitely skip this.
