“Great hotel.”

Stunning old world charm. Exceptional service and location.

Food was Devine, too
Comfortable yet old and slightly tired but it is an old pub!

Plenty of amenities.

Stand up to its 5 star rating. Champaign for breakfast was a real surprise!

Will happily return.

Firstly before we get to the insides of this amazing property, the location is absolutely central and a perfect base for exploring Vienna. on foot. On arrival like most of Starwoods Luxury Collection Palace Hotels the greeting and attentiveness from concierge is first class. The lobby is beautiful with chandeliers and marble to die for.
We were upgraded about 5 room catagories (the check in girl said we were the lucky ones of the day!) to a Junior Suite on the 1st floor (where all the big rooms are). We knew we were in for a treat when the double doors to the room were about 18 feet tall!
Inside we had an entrance hall with bathroom, walk in robe which led to a sitting room, then bedroom and monstrous bathroom. Probably the nicest room i have stayed in.
The bar was also a work of art with spectacular chandeliers and various types of marbles, busts etc and good service. We didn't try the cafe or main restaurant as we only had a brief stay but they looked lovely.
We got lucky with the room but the rest of the experience with service etc was exceptional.
Treat yourself if in Vienna - this property is an absolute classic.

Room Tip: Splurge on a 1st floor suite of cross your fingers for an upgrade!

Me and my friend had to pick my husband next day morning in Vienna (we are in Croatia currently) so we decided to go day before and spend a night in this beautiful hotel.
We didn't know what to expect, except the things we read on-line. The hotel was MARVELOUS. So beautiful, it cannot be called kitchy or trashy in any way. The staff was very nice, very well educated and we even got upgraded to beautiful suite with a jacuzzi. The breakfast is extraordinary so we will be definitely coming back. Just keep on doing great job guys.

This is truly one of the best places in Europe and stands comparison with anywhere in the world. Service is flawless, with the punctual efficiency one expects in Austria. Food in the restaurant and cafe (if you can use the term cafe for gilded excellence) are of the highest possible level. Love this place and is a definite "must return"

This hotel is one of a kind. What can you say about a hotel were you can set your clock by the time you request service. Request breakfast to your room at 8.07 am,and you will hear a knock in your door precisely at 8.07am.
This hotel was a favorite of the Austrian Imperial family. It was also unfortunately the location were Adolf Hitler resided when he came to Vienna...
The service is one of the best in the world. The rooms are exquisite. Food is fantastic.
Priced as you would expect for a 5 star hotel in Europe.

We stay there some time ago, and after having the privilege to stay in a lot of luxury properties around the world, the Imperial remains as one of the top 5, we had an unconfortable moment when we read part of the hotel history and get the info that we are staying at the same room that once has been used by Hitler, hate to know that, we had the opportunity to have a peak of the royal suite when they where cleaning it, and simply get speechless, they must organize visits to it when is not occupied, I dont think the best palaces of the world get close to the luxury of it, everything was great when we stay there, starting with their famous Imperial Cake, ready to get back for it, LOL

Room Tip: Be ready to sleep in a palace!!!

We truly enjoyed this experience. We stayed here three nights, and we have no major complaints. The staff was very friendly, the rooms and facilities were always tidy, the decorations were beautiful, and the hotel was located very close to everything in town. We would come back here and highly recommend it to anyone in Vienna.
