“Palatial museum”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

You need plenty of time and stamina if you want to enjoy all that there is to offer here. The collection is extensive and the setting is grand and impressive as you would expect of a palace created to house the treasures of an empire!

“A museum”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

Title tells it all. It is a museum. If you like these places then I guess you will love this one. I saw there a lot of paintings and statues and got bored.

“A real museum”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

The building and all the collections are worth visiting. I' d recommend the painting: Bruegel, for instance. The Egyptian rooms are a must.

“this art museum is housed in a beautiful building.”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

This beautiful building was constructed to house the art collection, and includes paintings by Klimt in the decor. The highlights include paintings by Bruegel, Vermeer, Caravaggio Velasquez, Holbein, Rubens and many more. I wish I had time to spend there..

The restaurant in the museum is pretty good too, I enjoyed the filet of char.

“One of the Best”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

Vienna has a remarkable "collection" of museums, the Kunsthistorisches Museum houses one of the best art collections in Europe. It houses pieces from the Hapsburgs art collection, it ranges from paintings to musical instruments, coins, books, antiquities, it is lavishly decorated with marble and stucco ornamentations therefore the museum itself is a piece of art.
