Had a fab time in Vienna , this hotel was literally a 5 min walk from the opera house so very central.
Lovely boutique hotel, designed by Terence Conran. Rooms spacious, clean, large and very comfortable . Loved the bath... And the Molton and Brown toiletries.
Staff in reception very helpful.
Restaurant a little pricey, loads of options locally. Italian just across the street Bella more was just the job and a third of the price!
If I go back to Vienna I would stay here again!!!

Stayed at Hotel Das Triest for 5 nights whilst on business in Vienna, room 602. Overall enjoyed my stay and found the staff friendly and helpful and the hotel generally comfortable. Enjoyed the free WiFi, Apple screen and key board in the room. Breakfast was of a good standard but virtually the same for the whole period. Eating out in the beautiful courtyard is especially nice. The hotel location is excellent and allows very easy walking to many attractions. As with many travelers to Europe, my only gripe was the air conditioning. Weather ranged from 30c to 13c during my stay. I was SO uncomfortable in my room during the night which only had a door opening on to a balcony shared with adjacent rooms. On the hot day and evening I was hot and on the cold days and evenings I was hot as there was no air coming into the room at all. Air conditioning is switched off on the colder days,so my only choice was to open the door and sleep with it open during the night, but as it was raining right against the windows of the room it would have meant wet carpets and curtains and of course a security risk. My only option was to sleep with the door closed and stay uncomfortable. Das Triest is a non-smoking hotel but a smoke smell lingered all the time and came through the air conditioning vent, as a non-smoker this was very annoying.

The hotel is well situated close to all the main historic sites, these are all within a 20 minute walking distance at a relaxed pace. The staff, particularly those serving during the breakfast buffet were very friendly and efficient. Our room was well located facing the courtyard where we had breakfast every morning. Breakfast consisted of hot and cold meats, eggs, croissants, fruits, cakes etc. The maid service was excellent also, very efficient ! having a computer/TV with free internet in the room made for the lack of English channels on the TV; we were able to watch our favorite shows on the internet. I would not hesitate to go back to the Das Triest again !

Was a little worried about choosing this hotel as the ranking was quite low.
The staff were very helpful. The rooms were lovely, not huge but big enough with a very spacious bathroom. Has computer/TV in each room with internet. Molton Brown shower gel, shampoo and moisturiser...NO hair conditioner so take your own!!
Great central location with a tram stop 1 minute from the front door, Karlsplatz Station about a 5 min walk away which is a central station and the centre about an 8 minute walk. The hotel is away from the busy centre in a quieter part but still on that main road which is a straight walk to. The hotel was very quiet even though we had a room facing the main road.
Breakfast was fabulous! hot and cold buffet with eggs cooked to order.
Small but adequate gym with bottled water supplied.
I would definitely stay here again!!

Although the hotel is beginning to show its age a bit (probably 25 years since its development), it remains a wonderfully comfortable and interesting choice of hotels in Vienna. The location is within sight of Karlsplatz and well-connected with trams. MIchel was at the reception when we arrived and later during our stay. He and other staff were incredibly well informed and helpful. Because we paid a special rate (Euro 59 per night) breakfast was not included. The rooms are comfortable and very well designed. The garden is a particularly pleasant and attractive space.

We travel a lot with our 15 month old son and we can only praise this hotel. We got a complimentary upgrade to a suite which made our stay much more comfortable. The service is splendid, food fantastic and we couldn't find a single fault. The location of the hotel is also great as it is in a funky 4th Bezirk but walking distance to major Vienna attractions and to main shopping area. Alos, very good value for money. If you go to Vienna for either business or pleasure, this is the place to stay!
