The food here is excellent and reasonably priced with a great menu. I had the tafel spitz (divine) and my partner the schnitzel, which he loved. The service was friendly, prompt and warm and the waiter was happy to recommend wines, of which there was a good selection both on the menu as well as extras on the board.
The atmosphere was a little so-so as there was no music and few people in there when we dined and the food came out extremely quickly, which didn't led to a nice 'dining' experience. However, it's important to note this is not a restaurant but actually a 'Gastwirtschaft' which is a cross between a bar and restaurant and it reflects that. The area is also not scenic, with the bar opposite a lap dance place. As long as you're not expecting a fancy restaurant or dining experience and go there for the food, you will not be disappointed.
