“Stylish hotel, very rude staff”
Reviewed 27 May 2013

The look and feel of this hotel is great. Quirky, fun, eclectic, cool but it is significantly let down by the incredibly rude staff. We were travelling with a group of friends for a wedding and everyone had had a bad experience with the staff. Everything was too much trouble! The bar staff both in the Dachboden bar on 8th floor were incredibly rude and were annoyed when we asked to pay our bill by card, even more rude when other friends asked to charge the bill to our room! The mentality of the staff seems to be that they are operating some sort of youth hostel and yet the room prices and the standard of accommodation is most definitely that of a decent hotel.

The only complaint about the room was that it was incredibly small for the price with no wardrobe. The breakfast and food on the whole was a high standard. and the views from the rooftop bar were the best in town.

Like many say, the hotel is funky, cool, etc. Sadly, unlike many funky cool people... they also think they are too good for their own good. A good long weekend in Vienna was accentuated by a comedy of errors from many in our party over the entire weekend. e.g. At the roof top bar, asking to put the bill on the room was met with a huff and a puff from the waitress... And paying by card also seemed a bit of a chore... e.g. 2 after asking for late check out at the counter, I went to the room and the key failed. When I came back down to the counter I was accused of having done it over the phone so "obviously" my key wouldn't have worked. e.g. 3 ah... I came into the restaurant for lunch after it closed. Totally understand that... No snacks available either... ok... Solution from staff, "oh, the burger stand outside is open". Sounds like a good solution, except it was raining. When I asked if I could bring it under cover the answer was... "sorry, no...". e.g. 4 a group of friends had a later flight. They vacated the room for check out time. At this point they asked to go to the spa to spend their last couple hours in Vienna relaxing. The answer, sorry, you have checked out... The exception was eventually made but not before they made all involved and around feel particularly awkward.

In summary it is a cool place where it feels that boutique hotel has been staffed by people trained for youth hostels...

We stayed at 25 hours for our weekend trip to Vienna. Being only a short walk away from the Museums Quartier and Hofburg, the location is excellent. The metro station is also very close providing connections to all the attractions in Vienna. Our room was a bit small but still ok and very comfortable. Staff was in general very helpful. Some minor hiccups like no bottle opener in room and bottles in the fridge that can't be opened without one and staff saying that we have to come down to reception to get one.
Rooftop bar is excellent with very nice view and atmosphere and the overall atmosphere and design in the hotel is also very nice. Unfortunately no room service and Wifi could be improved. Excellent breakfast. I would stay again.

If you stay here definitely you will enjoy the hotel design but not the services.... The reception isn't take reponsibility on customer request.... My aircon is broken but the reception just not get back to me... I paid for the suit but I couldn't sleep....

Room Tip: Not the room on 7floor

This place is Unbelievable!!! I can never forget my stay here. It was an awesome experience to be a guest of this wonderful property. Property is stunning and can make anyone crazy. From the moment we reached the place, to the time we left, the service and facilities were excellent. A single thing about this place cannot be left without any mark of appreciation. I will definitely visit this place again.

I recently did a Europe trip with my friend and we stayed at 25hours for our Vienna stay. The beds were extremely comfortable and the location was absolutely perfect but he greatest part of this hotel was the view from the rooftop bar. It was absolutely breathtaking and attracts not only travelers but locals too.

My only negatives - the rooms were quite small and you could see into the shower from the bed (there was just a glass pane, no wall) which was a little odd.

Overall, we had a great experience and would stay at 25hours again for our next Vienna trip.

We were very lucky, cause got our room right at 7 am when we arrived from the airport, we didn't expected entering it earlier 3 p.m. I liked the staff at the reception - always friendly and with a smile - advised us good places to dine, the best way to get to any place, booked us tables in restaurants. The room we had was the smallest (M), but there was enough space and facilities fot us. The bed is very comfortable, but early in the morning (even in May) it was getting quite stuffy,we had to switch-on AC, which is pretty noisy ...
Very stylish and cosy room, great design details in it - the wall above the bed, knitted lamp, pillows with funny slogans. We also liked the modern and high-quality bathroom, with excellent fixtures and a window to the room.
Free bicycles Electra were a nice plus, which you could take if you have no one ahead :)
The location of the hotel is excellent - just minutes from the metro (line 2 and 3), 10 minutes from the Museum Quarter with its unique atmosphere, as well as the Rathaus and Hofburg.
Dachboden is an excellent bar with outstanding view over the city. We managed to get there on Wednesday for a party with a DJ, but also on other days - the atmosphere in the bar is awesome, besides alcoholic drinks DO try Samova teas, which are amazing!
We didn't try breakfast in the hotel, preferring to have breakfast somewhere in the city, but we've heard a lot nice review of it.
Honestly, we do not see any minuses in the hotel and want so much to come back to try other rooms in a gorgeous Vienna!
Please, do visit their site to understand where you're going to stay before you go :)
