Top class hotel right in the center of Vienna. While you are there you just have to have coffee and Sacher Torte, the most wonderful chocolate cake invented there and sold in every bakery in Vienna. Buy one in a little wooden box as well to take home. Expensive but so worth it

Stayed in a superior room (which is the hotel's standard room). The view was amazing, looking right at the side of the Opera House. Room was well-equipped with modern facilities. Bathroom was with under floor heating. Room was not big but beautiful, so somehow justify the 400 euro we paid per night. Staff was very friendly, but if you dress like the other tourists, sometimes the doorman stops you from getting in the hotel, which is a bit annoying. (You have to show them the keys.) The only thing i would fault is the breakfast. I didn't think it was grand or scrumptious. Compared to other five star hotels in Vienna i've stayed in, Sacher surprised me with very few options in the breakfast buffet.

We stayed here and celebrated our Wedding Anniversary. Wonderful Hotel and an icon in Vienna. Restaurant has wonderful food, you must try the Weinberg Schnitzel, and of course the Sacher Torta, famous in Vienna. The hotel is very well located in the centre of everything. Don't miss a visit to the Spanish Riding School and have coffee and cake at "Demel's" it's a landmark in Vienna. Take the hop on hop off bus and go to "Schoenberg Palace" a must is the Opera too. We went by train after a week in Vienna to Salzburg another lovely place especially the old town and a visit Mozarts house and of course visit Mondsee where the Cathedral is that was featured in "Sound of Music. There are some fantastic restaurants in Mondsee.
A must is at stay in Breganz on the beautiful Lake Konstanz, a truly beautiful part of the world not to be missed. The boat from Breganz will take you to all the various ports along the lake which borders Austria, Germany and Switzerland. You will need at least a week in this area to see all there is. In the town of Konstanz in Switzerland stay at the Hotel Mercure Halm, beautiful, gracious hotel right in front of the station. The best breakfast anywhere.

The Sacher is quite simply on of the best hotels in the world. It is hard to criticise the service, the location and the quality of the experience. I have stayed here before and they are very effective in welcoming repeat visitors. It was the first night of Tosca across the road, so the hotel was full of opera goers. It was wonderful to enjoy their enjoyment!

We spent two nights at this Vienna icon and our stay could not have been nicer. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by staff and led into the registration area. The hotel staff was extremely cordial and told us that we were being awarded an upgrade to a junior suite, the Eugene Onegin suite. What a lovely, spacious suite, complete with fireplace, tasteful oil paintings, beautiful furnishings, free sacher tortes, a very comfortable king bed and a luxury bathroom with two sinks. We had breakfast in the Anna Sacher room, a beautifully appointed dining room. The breakfast buffet was extensive with outstanding Viennese pastries and individually made-to-order omelets that were mouth-watering. We received very responsive services from the concierge, including assistance in selecting interesting local restaurants -- Limes and the White Chimney Sweep. Finally, the hotel arranged for a free-of-charge limo ride to the airport at the time of our departure. World class service!

What a beatiful hotel! No doubt that it's 5-star hotel by the entrance to the hotel. No more worry about my quite small luggage after meeting by portier. Well-trained staff in the reception, fast check-in, followed by short guided tour, finished by showing way to my room. Perfectly timed leverage of my luggage to the room by mature bell-"boy". Can't find a sufficiant amount of superlatives for describing of my room. Nice piece of Sacher-cake on the table, accompanying by some pralines and fruit-selection. Very-very-very nicely decorated room with a beatiful bathroom. TV-screen incorporated in the bathroom-mirrow. Superb view outside from the room. I was so tired that I don't remember if it was comfortable bed... Only minus was the breakfast. It was somewhat disappointing, mostly due to some mess in the buffet-room. Not nicely decorated, very unimpressive (for the hotel of such level). I ordered scrambled egg, it was delivered quite fast. OK cappucino. One thing was I liked very much, was some kind of apple cake (apfel strudel?).

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. I was given a beautiful junior suite with a red carpet staircase in the room up to the bedroom.

The breakfasts were perfect, the room was beautiful, the location was wonderful.

I love this hotel.

Room Tip: Get a junior suite or suite!
