We stayed at the Sacher on the front & back ends of our visit to Europe. Our first night we were exhausted and stayed in a very quiet, pretty double room. Our last 2 nights we were upgraded (perhaps due to the platinum Am Ex card) to the Arabella suite which was fantastic. The rooms are luxurious but the suite is a wow with several chandeliers, a fireplace, a tv that rises from the fireplace, a large sitting area, lots of windows and natural light, a gorgeous large bathroom and so on. Not only are the rooms nice but the staff at the hotel are very nice and go out of their way to accommodate you. Especially impressive was the buffet breakfast. Definitely get a rate which includes the breakfast. We have eaten at buffets at Four Seasons, Ritz Carltons, etc. but the Sacher Vienna blew them all away - from the fresh-squeezed juice station, marinated salads, fish, bread choices, dessert table, to an unreal cheese trolley with a honeycomb nearby. In addition, you can order any coffees or other egg dishes, etc. from a menu. Everyone from the host to the waiters & waitresses was super professional and helpful. Another perk is as a guest you are ushered in, rather than waiting in line, to eat at the Cafe Sacher. The location is central and right on the pedestrian street. Yes, The Sacher may cost more than many hotels in Vienna but we would never stay anywhere else. We loved this property!
