Taking the train from Prague, my wife and I arrived Vienna late in the evening of Nov 26, 2013, and stayed at Kummer for three nights. The hotel is located ideally - right in the middle of the city with lots of shops and shopping malls. While getting out of the hotel about 200 m on the right there is a subway station that has a big underground grocery store, on the left you will find McDonald's McCafe, and across there is a Starbucks (in case you miss these home goodies). Bus stop to the central train station (Vienna Hauptbahnhof from where you can take a train to Bratislava and many other places) is close-by the hotel. In all sense, I find the hotel is ideally located.
We had a room on the second floor - very nice and super clean. Big plus was free WiFi for your internet cellphone.
Breakfast (included in the nightly rate) was excellent with lots of varieties - various breads, croissants, scrambled egg, bacon, sausages, coffee, milk, tea, fruits, vegetables, salad-bar - everything for a nice hearty breakfast. We were pleased with the hotel and its location during our stay in Vienna. If we go back to Vienna again, I will consider Kummer to stay in.
